According to a self-reported study done by Pew Research Center, a research center for reporting trends in attitude in the United States and other countries, 46% out of a group of 3,181 smartphone owners said that they could not live without their smartphones. Of these 3,181 smartphone users, 93% said that the smartphone is helpful. 72% of the group said that the smartphone is connecting. While these people are stating the technology is connecting, Ray Bradbury, the author of “The Pedestrian” and “The Veldt”, claims otherwise. People who are against technology are backward is a recurring theme in his short stories.
