The comparison of the tone between two poems "To His Coy Mistress" by Andew Marvell and "Maarvell Noir" by Ann Lauinger. Tone of both poems is romantic because both speakers are talks about thier love and lust towards thier mistress,though, the difference is that in " To His Koy Mistress" the persona truely loves his Mrsstress and it is very romantic. However, in "Maverll Noir" the persona is kind of sarcastic, because at first he shows little romance and care for his wife, but later there is no romantic any longer. He doesnot care about her, while she is in prison, which he says in line 30 to 35, "But Irish bars are more my taste than Iron one: Strips ain't my style." in this point, he is kind of look down on his wife that he does not like …show more content…
Also, his love for her as pure as river Ganges and holy or very important to the persona, like how Indian people values Genges. second, the author choice "vegetable love", is his love for her will never end likes as green vegetables, that this colour is significant to every nature in the world and also, his very honesty towards his Mistress, because vegetable is a organic and people can not live healthy without eating vegetable and he can not live a happy life without her. The third words choice is "rate" which is his heart rate that shows. He likes her until the end of his life or until his heart rate stopped. The fourth words choice is " quaint honor" this says of her honer of being virginity and after her death. It will be same as "dust" which appears in a waste of life. Then the persona will no longer go to have relationships with other women in the rest of his life, which shows in line 30, "into ashes all my lust". Furthermore, words choice "her skin like morning dew" content that his mistress is awoken in a moist: sweat of her hair on body is looking like a morning dew.
