These attribute, while both distinct and distinguishing in their own right, serve as milestones to set the precedents for the track to success. I plan to learn a multitude of ways to interact with other people provided the tools this course (Organization, Management & Leadership DNSC 6247) has to offer. Through my experience, background, and others experiences will provides insight on how to approach different situations from different vantage points. A large portion of my professional life was serving active duty in the United States Air Force in the Logistics Squadron as a Traffic Management Officer. Despite the preconceived notion that all military personnel are well equipped to organize and lead, I have always strived to develop these attributes. Transitioning into the highly competitive civilian sector in the financial and banking sector has heightened my awareness of the importance of managing these traits. I have worked in several different departments within the organizations I have worked for within the last 10 years: Asset Management, Accounting, Project Management (internship), and Inventory Management. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha - **GO HUSKERS**!!
Upon completion of this course I would like to be different in regards to how I approach different projects at work. Hopefully this change not only influences a positive change within myself, but also those around me. Various facets influence today’s ever-changing business community: technology, culture, and politics to name a few. This course will give me a firm foundation from which to

A Fuzzy Expert System for Task Distribution

...future naval operations. A suitable distribution of tasks among the members of a team is a crucial issue in order to prevent high and low workload levels. In this paper, we propose a rule-based expert system, the Task Distribution Expert System (TDES), which assists team leaders to manage mental workload in a team by suggesting appropriate task assignments. The TDES emulates the behavior of a team leader deciding which member of the team should perform a task and how. The system handles mental workload as an uncertain fuzzy concept comprising three fuzzy variables that represent the way mental workload affects performance. Automation issues and different recommendations for effective workload management in teams are analyzed and incorporated. A prototype demonstrates the system. 1. Introduction Naval Command and Control (C2) systems support organizations formed by a number of people cooperating on a multitude of tasks simultaneously to achieve overall goals. Future naval C2 systems are characterized by less people, more information available, shorter decision cycles and more complex and varied tasks [1]. The nature and number of those tasks can lead an operator, a team, and finally an organization to low and high mental workload situations. These inappropriate mental workload conditions threaten the performance of future naval operations. Traditionally, workload has been addressed at the task level [2]. This is based on the fact that if a...

...Mini Conference due asap For this second mini-conference assignment, you should read the sample labs below. As in the first mini-conference, these were created by "imaginary" students for you to practice critiquing, and they have deliberate errors in them (therefore, you need to actively look for them, just as peer reviews in the real science world do). You will submit your critiques to me in the assignments area. After you've had the practice doing this and getting my feedback, for the third mini-conference, you and your classmates will be critiquing each others' Phase V lab work that you'll post in the forum. Then, for the final symposium poster project, you will also critique one another's work. Answer the following questions about the labs you read. Please keep your comments to constructive criticism (in other words, offer feedback, but be polite). For each question, answer "Yes," "No," or "Maybe," and provide detail. Detail doesn't just mean a full sentence like "Yes, enough evidence has been collected". Your answers must make it clear that you have read and thought about the reports. These answers do not need to be long, but remember that you're learning to provide feedback that will help your classmates to improve their work in future labs, so be as detailed as you can. Upload this assignment to the Assignments area of the classroom. 1) Is the step-by-step procedure sufficient to yield the necessary evidence needed to fully answer the listed research question?
