Workshops and seminars are effective tools a consultant can utilize resources in assisting others to solve a common problem within a professional community (Brown, Pryzwansky, & Schulte, 2011). They are also methods to promote the business and sale your services. In so doing, engage these professionals in a variety of formats. For example, the consultant may use the traditional face-to-face consultation meetings. For example, other methods may integrate the use of technology, such as web based workshops or through telephone interviews. As a result, expand their business using a cost effective approach. Therefore, create working environments in innovative, creative, and productive manner. Thereby build relationships between the consultant and the local community, nationally and possibly internationally. Berson (2002) gave an example of holding workshops. The author divided the group into five groups to develop teams. As a result, develop dependency on each team member. Results of the effectiveness increased as the teams determined that together they “were more than the sum of the parts (Berson, 2002, p. 205)”. This is similar to the AHAA workshops I have attended this past year. The current consultant is from a Texas university. It is a grant providing training over a two year period. I came to this school this year so this is my school’s second year. AHAA is a professional development training that includes two years of participating in workshops developed by the Arizona Dept. of Education. The goal of this program is to assist school teams in broadening their understanding and knowledge base of various accommodations and modifications for classroom behavior management and instruction. Each school has 5 representatives and a leader from the Dept of Ed. and is represented by a school’s general and special educators, and administrators The goal

Smoking remains the leading cause of preventable death and disease in the Redbridge area, killing more than 200 people each year and 1,350 hospital admissions a year. Smoking causes immediate damage to the body, which can lead to long-term health problems. For every person who dies because of smoking, at least 30 people live with a serious smoking-related illness. The only proven strategy to protect people from harm is to never smoke. Purpose Smoking is the main cause of preventable death in most industrialised countries. About a third of all deaths from cancer can be attributed to smoking, and at least 90% of deaths from lung cancer are caused by smoking. While the number of people aged less than 75 years who die from cancer is falling nationally, in Barking and Dagenham it is continuing to rise. Smoking is also responsible for about 17% of deaths from heart disease, and 80% of deaths from chronic lung diseases such as bronchitis and emphysema, so it is a major contributor to high premature mortality and decreased life expectancy in Barking and Dagenham (NHS, 2015).
