...Top of Form Assignment: PRESENTATION and handout For your oral exam, you will be working as a corporate analyst for your teacher. Your main responsibility will be to develop a feasibility study outlining the parameters for possible future investment in your chosen company. This process is called Due Diligence: essentially, you will play the role of an objective third party. This means that your only loyalty is to an objective account of the current state of affairs. You are to choose a company and have it approved by your teacher. You will then be responsible for analyzing the company and making recommendations either for or against future investment. You will have to defend your analysis. Remember: you are working for your teacher, not for the company: Due Diligence requires objectivity! This assignment is graded and your marks count for 5 points of your final marks. You will receive a group mark, both for content and presentation and for your performance in English. First, you must select the company you are going to analyze (week 24 – groups have to be formed by week 23) and have it approved by your teacher. To be included in your analysis are the following: - SWOT-analysis - Legal Status (pending contracts, current litigation) - Financial Status (accounting, cash reserves, recent/future investments, share price) - IT (systems involved, recent updates, future plans) - Marketing (Strategies, competitors) - Operations (management, supply/distribution networks) - Environmental...

By following a few steps anyone can create a show that will impress with images, pictures and other visuals that can be animated with sound and other affects while successfully delivering a hard to forget message. You then can modify these layouts to create custom slides to fit your specific needs”(Gary B. Shelly, Thomas J. Cashman, Misty E. Vermaat, n.d., p. PPT 2). Title slides give the audience an idea of what the presentation is about and where it’s heading. Audience Analysis Paper

...many factors such as which characteristics must be considered for the audience. Other factors are the channels which would be used and keeping in mind the diversity of the audience and how to ensure my message is effective. After setting up for the last five days, I have come with a strategy which will be successful in communicating my audience the quarterly sales information. The approach in which I have decided to use to build trust amongst this diverse audience is to take in consideration the different characteristics each individual has. Days before this meeting, I knew who my audience was going to consist of. I gathered enough information to know that in the group of people that where going to be present for the quarterly sales presentation where a group of diverse people. There where men and women of different ages ranging from 25 to 62. Another characteristic which needs to be considered in these diverse groups is race. Race is very important since most our staff is extremely diverse, from Hispanics from all parts of Latin America, to also employees from Europe, and many others from all parts of the world. Let’s not forget our customers and our stockholders who are also much diversified. The reason why these characteristics are being taken into considerations is to avoid any misunderstandings and to avoid...

Reflection

... In my 4th year of study, I would have to spend 8 months working on a project in a developing country. I could work on a health care delivery system, do an environmental assessment, create a marketing or small business development plan with local entrepreneurs, address key issues such as child labor or HIV/AIDS, and the list goes on. With a good mark in English, I hope to get accepted into this program. I’ve never taken an online course so I did not know exactly what to expect. I am finding it more difficult than the English course that I took in day school. I also find that it is twice as much work. However, in day school, a lot of the marking is through class discussions, presentation, and overall behavior in class. Because ILC is independent and there are no teachers to mark a student on presentations discussions, etc, it makes sense that there would be more work to cover. I like this course a lot more than my last English course. I love writing. In day school, we did a lot of writing, but there was always a lot of pressure to finish it at a certain date and perfectly. I absolutely love how I can work at my own pace think about what I am writing thoroughly without stress. It makes things much easier. I work at Zellers as a Fashion Sales Associate. And I have found that balancing school and work has become so much more easier by taking this...
