Cosmetology Industry vip report
Many people may have different favorite cosmetologist by the way they inspire their fans to do makeup . For me Kenia Ontiveros has had a significant impact on the cosmetology industry because she has shown other people to take advantage of the opportunities they have. She has become a very beautiful , successful, and caring cosmetologist. Ever since she started getting popular she has tried her hardest to keep her fans happy. I admire Kenia because of her beauty . Even though on a regular basis kenia looks simple she always looks good. As she says that her signature look is natural but glamorous that could be used for an everyday look. Being a mother is very hard work especially when they're young, roughly same age, and same gender , but kenia manages time to spend time with them and have a beauty career . It also may affect her that her husband is a famous hispanic singer larry hernandez , yet she keeps her beauty products growing. …show more content…
Since she was fourteen years old her passion for cosmetology grew. She joined modeling and acting classes in school . She graduated high school and became a certified makeup artist. Kenia didn't get her beauty line right away because that's when she met her soulmate Larry. After a few years of being together and having two kids Larry got a reality show , which kenia took advantage of to promote her beauty ideas. Kenia has become very successful because of social media and of course her hard work to always sell good quality of makeup. The two main selling products she has right now are lip gloss or lip stick and a sculpture kit. Being successful is hard work because she has to be dedicated to her

...Watson 1 ENG 11129L 9/29/10 Essay #2 Final Draft Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder “Cosmetologists are often the initiators of style and change,” Brooke Seger, a cosmetologist from Indianapolis, Indiana, stated. Style and change is very much related to cosmetology because cosmetology is all about looks. Just to get an outlook on this occupation, a lot of important information includes salary potential, working hours, availability of positions, job duties, and required training and education. All of which are important aspects to carefully look over when deciding if cosmetology is the right career for you. The Occupational Outlook Handbook [OOH] reports, “Median hourly wages in May 2008 for hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists, including tips and commission, were $11.13. Median hourly wages in May 2008 for barbers, including tips, were $11.56. Among skin care specialists, median hourly wages, including tips, were $13.81. Manicurists and pedicurists earned $9.46, and shampooers earned $8.32 (Bureau of Labor Statistics 3-4).” This seems fairly the same, since this was reported in 2008, as this year, 2010. According to today’s cosmetologists, the salary depends on the workplace, although these wages seem very similar to any normal cosmetologist. From my outlook, I think the hours are very flexible and random. I walk in to get a pedicure and I get in within 15 minutes. When I get my haircut, I usually call my hairstylist and state and time within a...

Penta Personal Statement

...Penta Career Center has changed my overall perception of school, and I am very eager to share how. Penta is a vocational school located in Perrysburg Ohio, that offers programs ranging from cosmetology to welding. Popular programs include automotive technology, masonry, culinary arts, dental assisting, early childhood education, floral design, public safety, and small animal care. And these are just few of the many programs here at Penta. Oak Harbor is my home school, and I came to Penta my junior year to attend Medical Technologies. I plan to return to Penta for my senior year as well! I chose to come to Penta because I wanted to get a headstart in the medical field. I knew that being in Medical Technologies would help me pursue my future career of becoming a licensed dermatologist. One of the things I enjoy here at Penta, is that we operate on block schedule. Block scheduling gives me a good idea of what college will be like. Penta also gives me the opportunity to participate and compete in student organizations, such as HOSA and SkillsUSA. HOSA is an organization dedicated to educating future healthcare professionals. The web defines SkillsUSA as “.. a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel. We provide educational programs, events and...

...http://www.saylor.org/books Saylor.org 1 Preface Competing books are focused on the academic part of HRM, which is necessary in a university or college setting. However, the goal with this book is not only to provide the necessary academic background information but also to present the material with a practitioner’s focus on both large and small businesses. While the writing style is clear and focused, we don’t feel jargon and ten-dollar words are necessary to making a good textbook. Clear and concise language makes the book interesting and understandable (not to mention more fun to read) to the future HRM professional and manager alike. It is highly likely that anyone in business will have to take on an HRM role at some point in their careers. For example, should you decide to start your own business, many of the topics discussed will apply to your business. This is the goal of this book; it is useful enough for the HRM professional, but the information presented is also applicable to managers, supervisors, and entrepreneurs. Besides these differences, other key differences include the following:   This book utilizes a technology focus and shows how HRM activities can be leveraged using technology. We have also included a chapter on communication and information about motivational theories. Since communication is a key component of HRM, it makes sense to include it as a full chapter in this book. Human motivation is one of the cornerstones of HR, which is why we include information...
