The Country I would like to visit the most and why
As an electrical/ electronic engineer in the making, the country I would like to visit the most is Japan. The reason I would like to visit in japan is mostly because it is world’s most industrialized country and has the highest technology in and also because of its cuisines.
Japan is an island nation in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of the Sea of Japan, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south. The characters that make up Japan's name mean "sun-origin", which is why Japan is often referred to as the "Land of the Rising Sun".
Japan is a leading nation in scientific research, particularly technology, machinery and biomedical research. Japan is a world leader in fundamental scientific research, having produced sixteen Nobel laureates in physics, chemistry and medicine Some of Japan's more prominent technological contributions are in the fields of electronics, automobiles, machinery, earthquake engineering, industrial robotics, optics, chemicals, semiconductors and metals. Japan leads the world in robotics production and use, possessing more than half (402,200 of 742,500) of the world's industrial robots. Japan has large international corporate conglomerates such as Fuji (which developed the nation's first electronic computer, FUJIC1999, in 1956) and Sony. Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Nikon, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Sharp, NEC, Nintendo, Epson and Toshiba are among the best-known electronics companies in the world. Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, and Sub

Japanese cuisine is based on combining staple foods, typically Japanese rice or noodles, with a soup and okazu — dishes made from fish, vegetable, tofu and the like – to add flavor to the staple food. Sushi is the most famous Japanese dish outside of Japan, and one of the most popular dishes among the Japanese themselves. Sushi may refer to any dish that contains sushi rice, cooked white rice flavored with seasoned rice vinegar. There are various kinds of sushi dishes, such as nigirizushi (hand formed sushi), makizushi (rolled sushi), and chirashi (sushi rice topped with raw fish). Japanese cuisine is known for its emphasis on seasonality of food, quality of ingredients and presentation. Japanese cuisine offers a vast array of regional specialties that use traditional recipes and local ingredients. The Michelin Guide has awarded restaurants in Japan more Michelin stars than the rest of the world combined.
Because of its high technology and cuisines, Japan is a country I would like to visit and if possible spend some time there(like doing my masters and doctorate degree there), so that benefit from its technology and infrastructure and I can bring what I have learnt to my country and develop it to.

...Amazing Days “Three Days to See” by Helen Keller is about what she would like to see if she were given her sight back for three days because she wishes to see as much she can. In her first day, she wants to see her companions whom have made her “life worth living”. Most people can recognize and distinguish their friends. She would see her friends’ face, her loyal dogs, and young child. Also, in the afternoon, she will stroll through the hidden paths of the forest and admire the color of the sunset. On the second and third days, she continues to narrate the events for her sightseeing. The second day, she will awake to be awake to be in the awe of the daybreak. If I were blind and had three days to see, I would visit important people, and spend in some countries. On the first day, I would visit every important people to me from early morning to evening. I would visit my family in the morning to afternoon. I’ll talk with them and I want to extend ‘Thank you for helping every times”. Then, during the lunch, I want to take lots of pictures of us with smile to give these pictures to them because I want they will remember that I could see everything in three days whole my life. Also, I’ll give handwritten letters to them. In the afternoon, I would visit my dear friends in Japan. Frist of all, I’ll try doing a make-up because if I were blind, I always should be unpainted...

Narrative Essay (English Comp 1)

...Narrative Essay A Trip I’d Like To Take I’ve always thought that traveling is so spontaneous, adventurous, and life changing. To me, it just means that we get the opportunity to discover and learn new things that other places have to offer. Considering this, I have tried to be content with the places I’ve traveled throughout my life; Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, New York etc. Recently I started to think about escalating my travels to new locations. And, to start with, I attempted to figure out where I wanted to start. While traveling to the places I have, I discovered that perhaps the most irritating aspect for me was that all these places are cliché, “Niagara Falls”, “The Islands”, and “The Big Apple”. I told myself, “The next place I travel will be the exact opposite of cliché”. I crave change; I was thinking maybe Spain. I enjoy conversing in the Spanish language, the culture, the food, and not to mention the people. Since I’m extremely attracted to what Spain has to offer, I hope to plan on starting my traveling journey there. From my early childhood, I was raised in a Caribbean/Spanish atmosphere, so I speak both of the languages and have always enjoyed the music. When I was brainstorming where I’d start my first adventure, it was no surprise I desired Spain. I’m literally excited by the immensity that the culture has to offer and the amazing feeling of a new surrounding. I hope that when I first visit Spain, I’ll be eager to return and motivated to go outside my...

A Thousand Splendid Suns

...A Thousand Splendid Sun Even with the many examples of counter-factuals in A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, the characters remain strong, positive, and full of loyalty to their family and homeland. One strong example of a counterfactual happens near the beginning of the book. One of the main characters, Mariam makes a decision to go to her father, Jalil, against the pleading of her mother, Nana. Mariam remembers her mother’s words, “I’ll die if you go, I’ll just die.” (p. 27 ). As it turns out, Mariam is rejected by her father, Jalil and when she returns home, she discovers that her mother, Nana has committed suicide by hanging herself. Mariam tortures herself throughout her life with the despair of believing she caused her mother’s death, even though her close friend, Mullah reassured her that her mother was very ill and it was not Mariam’s fault. Another example of a counterfactual is that Laila continues to hope that her mother would acknowledge that she is still alive, despite the fact that both her brothers have died as soldiers in the war. “Laila wishes Mammy would notice that she, Laila, hadn’t become shaheed, that she is alive, here, in bed with her, that she has hopes and a future. But Laila knows that her future is no match for her brothers’ past. They have overshadowed her in life. They will obliterate her in death.” ( p.142 ) Laila continues to try to bring some hope and comfort to her mother despite her mother’s constant rejection. Both...

The wall was put up over night, with no warning, the ban on travel was effective immediately. That meant if you lived on the east side of the wall you wouldn’t be able to cross the wall, even to visit you family. Technically their were ways to get a visa to temporally cross the boarder, however the likelihood of you actually getting one was very slim. ...the multiple countries of the world. For example, I’ve tried to convince my parents to allow our family to host a German student, or at least allow me to go overseas. To my surprise, my parents denied both proposals both years. Although our family goes on vacation during the summer, we’ve just been to seven different states, Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, and The Virgin Islands. We have never been toward Europe or South America. I have still never really gotten a taste of different cultures, or at least as much as I would like. Fortunately enough, during my visit at Ashland University, my guide told me about the study abroad program and how he went through it. The study abroad program is a program that you can partake in during your junior or senior years of your college experience. Those who qualify for this program receive the opportunity to further their education in diverse parts of the world. This was very promising news to me and allowed my parents and I to develop a plan for when I attend college. Almost every college, big or small, has a study abroad program. My course of action will be first to check whether or not the college of my choice has this program. Next, near the end of my sophomore year in school, I will meet with an advisor to be sure I’m eligible for the program. You need excellent grades and attendance in order to be able to pursue studying abroad. I very much plan on doing my absolute best during my college experience. Afterwards, I’ll need to develop...

Personal Statement University of Arizona

... 05/18/95 My plans to attend the University of Arizona have taken shape like a well-worn path through the woods. The process began when my brother was accepted there in 2010. I got my first glimpse of the amazing campus when he moved into his dorm. Through frequent phone conversations with my brother Alec, I developed a detailed understanding of campus life. Over the past three years, I've also visited him frequently and witnessed first-hand, what it's like to be a student at the University of Arizona. Through these experiences and the research I have conducted, I 'm confident that University of Arizona is a perfect fit for my education goals. A few weeks later, I was back on the campus for freshman weekend. My brother invited me to stay overnight in his dorm, which gave me unforgettable insight into what it is like to attend the University of Arizona. He introduced me to all of his friends, that I still talk to up to this day. The next day, I attended my first college football game. I sat right next to him inside the Zonazoo, with all of his friends. After those two weekends, I was envious of my brother and felt determined to join him at the University of Arizona. These feelings have only intensified with many more campus visits over the last three years. Consequently, I became more focused than ever on my studies and extracurricular activities in school. Extra curricular activities have...

A Career As A Veterinarian

...Vets tend to build relationships with clients by gathering and listening to them, and empathizing with any concerns they have. Veterinarians are expected always to stay up to date and aware of any medical information or changes in the vet medicine field(McKay, Dawn Rosenburg). It is important to keep a clean and orderly vet office where the pet will see the same doctor each time they visit to keep the animal and owner familiar and comfortable (Kross, Peter H). Like any job, there a few aspects that may not be a person’s favorite thing about this profession. Because emergencies can occur anytime, most vets get called in at any and all times of the day and night. This even includes evenings, weekends, and holidays (McKay, Dawn Rosenburg). The job of dealing with sickly animals and nervous, anxious owners can be stressful and at some times even emotionally draining to the vet. There is always a possibility that a sick and scared animals could bite, kick, or somehow injure the person who is helping to treat them (James 97). Sgi Niagara Fall

...embarked on his journey for worldwide kosen-rufu, arriving in Hawaii on October 2, 1960, the SGI movement based on Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism has spread to 192 countries and territories. The August and September 2010 issues of the Soka Gakkai monthly study journal Daibyakurenge featured several experiences by SGI members sharing their personal encounters with President Ikeda and their endeavors to promote kosen-rufu in their respective countries. In commemoration of this 50th anniversary, the SGI Newsletter will introduce a selection of these experiences. “A Rainbow over Niagara” By Elizabeth Izumi SGI Canada Executive Advisor It was about six months after I married my husband, Hugh Izumi, a Japanese-Canadian businessman, and was living in Toronto that I received a letter from my mother saying: “Soka Gakkai President Ikeda will be visiting Toronto. He will be an internationally renowned leader someday. As there are no Soka Gakkai members in Canada, please go and meet him at the airport.” Though it was my mother’s request, I wasn’t eager to comply. I was pregnant and not feeling very well, and I also didn’t want to be pressed into practicing Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism. Nevertheless, to please my mother, I went to the airport (on October 11, 1960). I saw a group of Japanese people who looked like they had just arrived. It was President Ikeda and his party. I went up to greet him saying: “I am not a Soka Gakkai member but, my mother asked me to come and welcome...
