My interest in Japanese culture motivated me to study about them and now I can differentiate a Japanese person from a Chinese or Korean person. A summary of what I did: My primary interest was to know that, “How was I able to differentiate between East Asians races just by studying and watching videos about them?” To get my answer I first started by research material available on the Cross-Race effect. To really understand CRE I read abstracts of 9 to 10 books. All in all it has been a pleasure in reading all those books especially D.T. Levin books which helped me in getting a convincing answer to my questions. Cross-Race Effect: The cross-race effect, also known as own-race bias (ORB), is a well established phenomenon in face recognition research. In brief, it has been found that individuals show superior performance in identifying faces of their own race when compared with memory for faces of another, less familiar race. Mechanisms underlying the Cross-Race Effect: Percept versus concept: CRE has been of interest to social psychologists for more than half a century. A number of theoretical explanations for this effect have been proposed but coming to agreement on a satisfying theoretical account for this effect has proven difficult. This paper will review this continuum across key characteristics in the catastrophe risk transfer arena. To provide a specific example, we will conclude with a brief case study of OakLeaf Re 2011 and describe where it fits across the various attributes. Though there are many ways to divide the market, we have chosen to break it into three main categories: reinsurance; collateralized reinsurance (CRE); and catastrophe bonds. We will cover the similarities and differences for the following topics: (1) type of collateral; (2) payment flow; (3) reinstatement; (4) collateral release & commutation; (5) premium adjustment; (6) fees & expenses; (7) risk analysis; (7A) tradability; and (8) trigger type. Multi-year vs. single-year contracts are not explored in depth in this paper because this is a feature that can be utilized in all three forms of execution. 1. Cdx1 is responsible for the axial positional information and the null mutants have an abnormal axial patterning only and no overt intestinal phenotype [4, 5]. Cdx2 is important for trophoblast differentiation, axial patterning and extension, and morphological specification of gut endoderm [5]. Homozygous Cdx2 null mutants are peri-implantation lethal as the blastocyst fails to undergo uterine implantation [3]. The Cdx1-Cdx2 conditional mutants show an abnormal somite formation and an increase in the number of Goblet cells in the small intestine [2]. Both Cdx1 and Cdx2 are important for the maintenance of the intestinal epithelium in adults. Though there is considerably more information available about the different pathways that require Cdx function, the mechanisms behind it have not completely been understood. Horizontal gene transfers are rare in higher eukaryotes, but years ago scientists found that a pathogenic bacterium, Agrobacterium, could transfer genes from its genome to its plant hosts, where expression of the transferred genes caused crown gall disease2. The development of Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation, and direct transformation by biolistics, i.e., the high velocity delivery of DNA attached to metal particles, led to the first generation of transgenic plants and the rapid application of this technology to crop improvement. The running and swimming legs of the biathlon are both aerobic exercises. The energy needed to do aerobic exercise is supplied aerobically which needs your heart and lung and blood system to supply oxygen to the working muscles throughout the biathlon. Since running and swimming in the biathlon are both aerobic activities, you have to have to have good CRE to succeed in the race. Especially to last the full 200m swim and then be able to continue on to do the 1km run. Having a high level of CRE delays the onset of fatigue aswell.
