Before I talk about the differences and similarities I will talk about what these two diseases are. According to Marfan foundation, Marfan syndrome “is a genetic disorder that affects the body’s connective tissue. Connective tissue holds all the body’s cells, organs and tissue together. It also plays an important role in helping the body grows and develops properly.” The connective tissue is made up of proteins. The protein of the tissue is called fibrillin-1. It is found in 1 out of 1,500 people. It can be found in male and female and in all races. It is in inheritable 3 out of 4 people inherit Marfan syndrome.
Cystic Fibrosis is because of a defective gene that causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In …show more content…
First I will talk about the different likelihood of getting each disease and which one you are more likely to get. Second I will tell you how they cause a person to die. The differences in likelihood someone will get this disease are very different. For example 1 in every 1,800 children will have Marfan syndromes. Comparing this to 1 in every 3,000 children will have CF. That’s a very big difference between the likelihood of getting these diseases. Yet, there are even more differences. Marfan syndrome occurs males and females and in all races. Well, CF occurs only in whites and is also found in males and females. Each disease will kill you but depends on how fast it will. Marfan syndrome has an, “average life expectancy of 76 years in men and 81years in women in the UK” according to medspace.com. For a person who has CF it will help clear mucus out of his throat and help him breathe a will more. Well, a person with Marfan syndrome it will take stress of their body, mainly their back. A fourth way physical education classes can be helpful is it can teach these kids how important nutrition is. In the case of CF they are on a diet plan to help them stay heathy. The last and I think the most important thing is to have fun. These students may not have that much fun in school but when they are in your class that is what they are there
