BOOM! CRASH! Bullets flying, people dying, people shoot until they have no ammo, the Mexican army charges the Alamo, and kills every Texan they see. Davy Crockett was a frontiersman, and three-time Congressman. He fought in the war of 1812, but later died at the Alamo in the Texas Revolution. Davy Crockett was famous for fighting in the Alamo; later come to find out he died, he fought for 12 long gory days, along with his fellow friends and frontiersmen. Davy Crockett had a harsh early life with great life accomplishments, and when he died it was a tragedy to his family and to the people. Davy was born on August 17, 1786, in the small town of Limestone, Tennessee. He had a very harsh childhood, because he was one of nine children. He was also in the war of 1812. They had fought against men who were known as the ¨Red Sticks¨. Many people knew him and in fact there was a play specifically made for him, in which he attended. He had a great accomplishment when he helped stop the assassination of Andrew Jackson. Even though they didn't exactly get along, Davy came to his aid when he was almost assassinated. Davy hit a big obstacle when he attended the Alamo. He was expected to save the Alamo, but Santa Anna's army attacked in which turned into a massacre.
Crockett died on March 6, 1836, at the Alamo. After his death, many people mourned him. Some time later in 1954, a show about Davy was made called ¨Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier¨. Many children loved the show and it was a big hit with about 5,000 copies sold everyday. The show finally ended in 1960 after the final episode called ¨Davy and the River Pirates¨ ended the series.
