F.eks.
I strofe to beskrives naturen.

Friendship

...friendship circle you have to kind of split them up and find out who the best friend is and who the better friends are. The best friend is someone who you always can count on, he or she is always there for you no matter what, your best friend has to be the one which you can trust 100% and it’s very important to be sure that you can talk to your best friend about anything without being shy or embarrassed, if this is not the case, you might want to go look for a new best friend, or learn to deal with these kind of things in your relationship. Here’s an example of what good friends are, this is also two of my own experiences. 8 years ago my family and I moved from Denmark to the big USA, I was only about 8 when we moved to America, I had to leave everything behind, school, friends, home, and Denmark. When I returned after 4 years great years in the US, only 2 out of 10 of my friends were waiting for me when I came back, I was very disappointed,...

The Best Holiday Ever

...The best holiday ever My best holiday was when I went to San Diego, California with my family. When my dad told me I was very exited, because it was going to be my first time in the United State of America. I took a month break of school and went to America with my family. I was going to see some members of my family, who I had never met before in my whole live. I was exited to see my family and on the other hand I was exited to see America. We flew in the morning. I can not tell why, but I have always enjoyed getting up in the morning and getting ready to drive to the airport. I can not explain the feeling I get, but there is one thing I know, it is a wonderful feeling. The flight was nine hours long. I was tired when we arrived in the airport in San Diego, California. We took our suitcases and left the airplane. I saw some people waving to us, I knew immediately that they were from my family. It was one of the best parts of the holiday. I had never met them before, so I was a little bit shy in the beginning, but I overcame the feeling, after we arrived at their home. The first day we relaxed because we were tired. The next day we went to museums and took a lot of pictures. There was a guide, who told us everything about the tings in the museums. It was instructive. I love to be at museums, that is the best thing I know. Some days after we went to the beach. It was a huge beach with thousands of people. There were people from Denmark, Germany and many other countries...

Colture

...Alexander 1.A Opg. 1 Essay/Ovs culture My daily life is constantly influenced by other cultures, because almost everywhere I go Im constantly bombarded with traveling commercials, foreign movies, music, food and people and much more because we are a country of mixed nationalities. But These things are some of the mainly things that has influenced me, and shaped my opinions and thoughts about foreign people and their cultures, for an example, here in Denmark we are very much influenced by the people from the middle east that have migrated to Denmark, and by living with them you start to judge them from what you hear about them and what you see, which is only natural because that’s also have we judge our Danish peers, but here we mostly just judge people individually, so you don’t form a stereotype for your own people. But with foreign people you are quicker to form a stereotype because they talk another language and are different, so you create this distance to them and starts to judge them from what you can see, without actually talking to Them so you start forming this stereotype to them, for an example all there is a stereotype for middle eastern teens, that they are repels that act tuff and are usually not very smart, but then again that’s because people maybe only have been influenced by that kind of stereotype, which is wrong because I know some that aren’t like that, but I could imagine that, that’s how some people judge them. But as I said we are a country of mixed...

Essay About a Passion

...are wearing – you can wear sneakers, high heels, boots and so on. I’m not a typical girl, who loves to wear high heels and dress up. I like sneakers, and casual clothing. When I was little, every time my family and I had to go to a party or a celebration, I always refused to wear anything else than my jeans and my sneakers. My mother always tried to convince me that if I didn’t wear something prettier, she would leave me home alone. But that never happened, and I was a stubborn child. 100 pounds, 150 pounds, 200 pounds… It’s not a cheap passion, but that doesn’t stop me from loving shoes or buying them. Unless my bank account shows something else of course. I always buy my own sneakers, because my mother is so much against flats. She is so unlike me, when it comes to this. She loves high heels, and doesn’t wear anything else. On the other side, we are very similar. We look a lot like each other, and it happens once in a while, that people think she’s my older sister. But that was mostly when I was younger. I’ve shopped and searched in a lot of countries, to find the sneakers I wanted. It takes a lot of time and energy, and often I have to pay double just to have it delivered to Denmark. I’ve been in Britain to shop for shoes, and it was so much cheaper than in Denmark. I was so overwhelmed by the prices, that I had to buy 7 pair of sneakers. It’s kind of a habit to me, because I really believe that it’s something I need. They are necessary and there will always be...

Hamlet Theme

...of Hamlet - Revenge In Hamlet, Shakespeare created three revenge plots; all of the revenges involve a son seeking vengeance for the death of a father. Revenge has caused the downfall of many people. In my opinion, revenge is a very dangerous theory to live by. It will consuming ones nature and causes one to act recklessly through anger rather without any reason. Throughout Hamlet, revenge is a dominant theme. Prince Fortinbras, Laertes, and Hamlet all seek to avenge the deaths of their fathers. But in doing so, three of them rely more on emotion than thought, and take a very big risk, the risk which eventually leads to the downfall and death. In Act 1 Scene 1, Shakespeare was written about Prince Fortinbras's attempts to reclaim the land his father lost to Old Hamlet and that is the first of three revenge plots in the play. King Fortinbras was killed by King Hamlet in a sword battle. This entitled King Hamlet to the land that was possessed by Fortinbras because it was written in a sealed compact. "…our valiant Hamlet-for so this side of our known world esteemed him-did slay this Fortinbras."(Hamlet, Act 1 Scene 1 Lines 85) Prince Fortinbras was enraged by his father’s murder and sought revenge against Denmark. He wanted to take back the land that had been lost to Denmark when his father was killed. "…Now sir, young Fortinbras…as it doth well appear unto our state-but to recover of us, by strong hand and terms compulsative, those foresaid lands so by his father lost…"(Hamlet...

"Happy" Compare and Contrast Essay

...The documentary called “Happy,” directed by Roko Belic, is about a quest to finding the meaning of happiness. The inspirational film travels to numerous countries to find out what really makes people happy. It demonstrates powerful real-life stories of people showing their personal definition of happiness. Scientists also offer their input on the secret of this emotion and talk about intrinsic and extrinsic goals. Extrinsic and intrinsic goals represent two very different types of motivation that are the basis for a person’s journey to achieving what they feel is happiness. Extrinsic and intrinsic goals differ in the type of happiness a person is able to achieve. Extrinsic goals are external factors that come from a force outside one’s self that drive a person towards happiness. Someone who is extrinsically motivated is driven by praise, money, image, or status. It is often said that money can’t buy happiness. It perhaps can buy happiness with meeting basic needs, but usually it cannot go beyond that because you are often left with wanting more. The happiness of an event or materialistic thing often dissipates, leaving people seeking for something more. On the other hand, intrinsic goals represent internal factors that are inherently satisfying. Goals like social bonding, social interaction, and personal growth motivate certain people to lead happier and less anxious lives. It is believed that you as an individual choose to be happy. People who are intrinsically...

Cyber-Bullying

...girls targeted most”. The view on cyber-bullying in this article is presented like it has destroyed children’s safe places they often have at home. The cyber-bullying is far away from normal bullying, because this kind happens on the Internet. A victim of cyber-bullying can’t get away and forget it when she comes home, there will always be a possibility of getting a hate message on the phone or from Facebook. It is not an opportunity for them to avoid the Internet; it has become a part of the teenage life now a days. The next text I want to bring in my paper is “Hate and the Internet: Does the Internet encourage insidious and bulling behaviour?” written by Aleks Krotoski. This articles view on cyber-bullying is not as harsh than in Nina Lakhamis article. The writer, Aleks Krotoski, writes about his first experience in a chatroom. His efforts were tame and he didn’t question anyone’s sexuality, make racial slurs or say anything negative about anyone’s mother. He talks about cyber-bullying like playing a trick on Halloween; it’s childish, kind a fun and it seem insignificant. But unfortunately, actions like cyber-bullying can have real-life consequences depending on who the victim is and how often it happens. ”… Even though I hid behind a false name, I didn’t throw a bomb into the chatroom and run away; no, I was booted out. And frankly, my moment of humiliation was exactly what I deserved.” (s. 2 ll. 45-46). He knows that if he did throw a bomb and hatred someone, he would deserve...

Cross Cultural Understanding

...evening whilst quaffing mulled wine at the Christmas market. Clearly glad to have found a little home away from home the two guys were already fairly well toasted on a selection of their favourite beers etc… somehow or other literature eeked its way into the conversation at some point or other at which point Hans suddenly got extremely excited at the prospect of doing a bit of Bard-bashing. Slamming his beer mug on the long-table in a booming (and only slightly slurred) voice he commenced the debate of Shakespeare Vs Goethe by vehemently stating that “COMPARED TO THE GREAT GOETHE, SHAKESPEARE IS LIKE A LITTLE SCHOOLBOY SAT IN THE CORNER OF THE CLASSROOM, PISSING IN HIS PANTS!” This subtle piece of comparative literary criticism was delivered with such force, that despite a few stifled giggles the point was not debated much further, as an Englishman in the presence of pissed Germans, my spine gave out in the name of retaining cordiality in a rather British, Fawlty Towers, John Cleese “RIGHT, NOBODY MENTION THE WAR!!!” kinda way. (reported by British man) I am astonished that people from Denmark can talk about being homosexual so openly. We find that satisfaction is U-shaped in age; women enjoy their jobs more than men; job security is of central importance; relative income matters; and much else. The good news is that people in the industrialized nations enjoy their jobs. The less-good news is that in the US there has been a steady decline in job satisfaction since the 1970s. Stress in Britain has risen sharply. Denmark and Ireland come top of world job-satisfaction league tables. The citizens of the United States have the most severe problem with work-life balance. Problems are also evident in some of the other industrialized countries. We know quite a lot about how to design satisfying workplaces. Who controls the pace of work is crucial. Hamlet

...that people act and react to certain situations is the deciding factor towards the reasons that others judge them. However, Christopher John Francis Boone, from the novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, has no control over this certain aspect of his life. He cannot control his feelings or his initial instinct on how to react to something that does not necessarily please him. Christopher’s way of dealing with situations that he is not used to is similar to that of Hamlet in the novel, Hamlet. Both of these characters allow the setting of their lives, and the routine procedures that they are used to going through on a daily basis, to cause them to falter when something does not necessarily go their way. Hamlet grows up in Denmark, he knows the country and the people of his country better than anyone. Then, when his father mysteriously dies, his uncle marries his mother just two months after the death of his father, and Hamlet finds the people, and more so the country itself, undistinguishable. This is similar to the story of Christopher because Christopher’s biggest fear was straying from the very routine life style that he was living. Christopher and Hamlet both grow and change as characters throughout their novels as the setting and atmosphere change and force them to adapt to those changes. To begin with, Christopher found himself having to adapt to uncomfortable situations, such as having to ask a stranger for directions to the train station, initially intending...
