Starting fall of this year I am either going to attend the University of Missouri in Kansas City or Southern Illinois University for four years to receive my bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. I plan to major in biology and I hope to minor in art if that option is possible. I will be in some clubs and I plan to get an internship sometime in college to better my understandings as a dental hygienist. Also, while I am in college I plan to do a work-study program.

I want to study dental hygiene because I have a big interest in anatomy and biology. Also, I want to learn more about oral care and how I can help others with their own dental hygiene. I feel that becoming a dental hygienist fits me well because I am very good in science and I also communicate well with others, which is the traits dental hygienists need. Also, dental hygienists do a lot of hands-on work and knowing that I like to do hands-on activities too, I feel this career would suit me well.
Before getting my bachelors degree in dental hygiene, I want to major in biology because I want to better my understandings of the different structures and functions of the body. Also, I have always been interested in different science classes throughout high school, so learning more about biology would be good for me. I also have the thought of minoring …show more content…
I want to go to the University of Missouri in Kansas City (UMKC) more than Southern Illinois University (SIU) because they have a bigger graduation rate, which is important to me because I want to graduate with a bachelors degree in dental hygiene and become a dental hygienist in the future, and, also, there are more opportunities at UMKC for me. UMKC costs more than SIU because I am not a resident of Missouri, so therefore SIU is still on my option list. If I choose to pursue UMKC I am going to get my residency in Missouri after my first year to cut back on the financial

Abstract We examine how susceptible jobs are to computerisation. To assess this, we begin by implementing a novel methodology to estimate the probability of computerisation for 702 detailed occupations, using a Gaussian process classifier. Based on these estimates, we examine expected impacts of future computerisation on US labour market outcomes, with the primary objective of analysing the number of jobs at risk and the relationship between an occupation’s probability of computerisation, wages and educational attainment. According to our estimates, about 47 percent of total US employment is at risk. We further provide evidence that wages and educational attainment exhibit a strong negative relationship with an occupation’s probability of computerisation.
