My Apartment
As an international student, owning a house always is a dream. The reason is I do not have any family with me in the United States. However, I still need a little home in this foreign country. I live on campus, which also means school also is a half of my home. My home is a rental student apartment which is located on the 8th floor of Medical Plaza, the University of Utah. Although it is not my real home, I still want to call it “my home.” My apartment is small and crowded but comfortable.
My apartment is a two-bedroom apartment, which means I have a roommate. My apartment has a very clean living room, a little kitchen and a small bathroom. First, as you walk into the apartment, the white wall and white ceiling make the apartment more bright and clean. Then you can see there is a large round wooden brown desk in the center of the room. There are five leather brown chairs around the desk. There is a very large French window which almost occupies the whole north wall. The brown floor mat also makes the room more comfortable and warm. When the night is coming, you can see the very good vista through the large window. I really like seating beside the desk and have a cup of coffee, and I enjoy the wonderful time. Although the living room is not big, it is comfortable and lovely.
Secondly, I will introduce my little kitchen and bathroom. The little kitchen has a large white refrigerator that always has good food and a big oven and microwave oven. Over the oven, you can find there is a clean and whiter range hoods. There are some cabinets over your head. The kitchen is very little; however, it held me and my roommate’s lives together. We always cook some delicious food together and ate together. There are many cook and seasons in the kitchen, which makes the kitchen small and crowded; however, it is very neat and clean. Crossing the living room, you can see a little bathroom. It has a white bathtub and a little cabinet. Against the cabinet, you can see a wash basin. The white floor makes the bathroom seems to be more clean and tidy.
Finally, I will introduce my lovely room, which also is my favorite space in my whole apartment. As you walk into my room, you will feel it is very small and crowded. However, it is clean, organized and lovely. White walls and ceiling makes my room seems like a little ice house. When you walk into my room, you will see my bed firstly, which is a twin sized bed that fills half of my room. This little bad is very comfortable, it is covered by a very cute grey sheet which has many star print on it. And there is a very soft blue dolphin pillow on my bed, which also is a present from my boyfriend. In the other side of the room, a little wooden bookcase that is crammed with magazines, books and a printer stands close to the room door. Wedged in between the bookcase and the wall, you would see a desk which is brown. There are some books and a little organizer box on the desk. Against the bed, a closet will appear in your view field. The closet is not large but very fit. Clothes, shoes, and a little organizer box is in the closet, which is very organized and neat.
Although my house is not large and luxury, I still love it. It is small and crowded, but I can feel the home feeling from this little lovely apartment. It is really comfortable to me. It also is my home in the United States.
