Detailed Worldview Topic

...Jamie Carl CWV-101 September 2, 2014 James Waddell Detailed Worldview Outline Introduction: I define a worldview as the way we interpret the world. Every person has a worldview that is taught and formed at a young age. As one gets older, their worldview can change a little but the essentials will remain the same. These seven questions are going to reveal my worldview and how I comprehend reality when it relates to particular situations. * Who is God and what are His characteristics? * God is the creator of the universe. * God is forgiving. We as human beings sin. God sees when we have sin. The day we commence a relationship with God, He will forgive us from the sins we have committed. Although He forgives, one has to be prepared to be judged and punished. * What is a human being and what happens when you die? * A human being is a creation of God. * When one dies, the “good” people who had a relationship with God will be sent to heaven into God’s hands. * What is the nature of the universe? * The nature of the universe came from the creation from our Lord being an element of existence. * Existence should not be questioned, something exists merely because it exist. * How do you know what you know? How do you know what is true? * I know what I know by my parents and the bible. * I find these sources reliable and trustworthy because my family and I have always had a strong...

Detailed Worldview Outline

...Stacie Mueller CWV-101 May 5, 2014 Brett Berger Detailed Worldview Outline Introduction To be honest, the term “worldview” is completely new to me. However, in spite of the fact that I do not belong to any particular religion, I have always felt very connected to my own personal beliefs and to a higher power, so “worldview” actually feels very comfortable. I am excited to begin the challenge of answering the questions below in order to help shape and define my worldview. * Who is God and what are His characteristics? * God is a name given to a higher power; the creator of the universe and of all life forms. * God is a spirit, a parent, and a teacher: As such, his character is compassionate and forgiving. * What is a human being and what happens when you die? * Human beings are one of God’s incredibly complex life forms which are, in a sense, bodies with individual spirits. * When we die, our bodies are left behind on earth while our spirits return to heaven to be with God and our loved ones who passed before us. * What is the nature of the universe? * The universe is the major system that synchronizes the sun, the moon, the stars, the planets, and life on earth. * Life on earth would not be possible without day and night made possible by earth’s rotation around the sun (lending to our sleep cycle), the warmth and light from the sun for plant growth needed for sustenance of life (including production of...

Detailed Analysis of Swansong

...Swansong was choreographed by Christopher Bruce in 1987 for the London Festival Ballet (now called English National Ballet). It lasts 32 minutes and is a work for three dancers, consisting of two interrogators or guard and a victim or prisoner. The original cast was all-male, but was later performed by all-female cast and a mixed gender cast. However, the two guards cannot be of the same gender while the victim is of the opposite gender, as it would suggest a gender issue rather than a political oppression. Moving on, ‘Amnesty International’ was a main stimulus. The piece intends to describe the situation of a person coming from one country, being imprisoned in another due to policy/law differences on treatment and conditions. The Amnesty organisation aims to keep the living conditions of those prisoners at a particular standard. Furthermore, the novel “A man” by Oriana Fallaci and saying ‘goodbye’ to a career as a dancer were also significant stimuli. The recorded music was composed by Phillip Chambon, commissioned by London Festival Ballet. The designer again, was Christopher Bruce and the lighting was designed by David Mohr. Christopher Bruce designed Swansong’s setting on a bare proscenium stage, which leads the audience’s focus on the movement without any visual distractions. Dull colours are used to create the mood and atmosphere of being in a cell. The backdrop is black, showing that the cell-like stage is small, leaving the prisoner feeling trapped and claustrophobic...

A Detailed Analysis of Death of a Salesman

...Jennifer Mills Professor Usha Wahwani English 102 1, April 2013 A Detailed Look at Death of a Salesman Death of a Salesman has been accepted worldwide as one of the greatest American dramas to premier in theatre. The story behind the play is based on Miller’s interactions with his Uncle, a salesman whose efforts to obtain the “American Dream” and pass his success on to his two sons becomes his main focus. Miller’s life during the preparation of Death of a Salesman provides the spark and inspiration needed to pen a literary classic. Almost five decades later, Death of a Salesman’s themes is still relevant in today’s society. Arthur Asher Miller was born October 17, 1915 in Harlem, New York City. The Detailed Search on Disney Land

...INTRODUCTION OF COMPANY Disney land is an American theme park in California owned and operated by the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts division of The Walt Disney Company. It opened on July 17, 1955 in ceremonies led by Walt Disney. The company was initially a jointly owned venture by Walt Disney Productions, Western Publishing, Walt Disney and the American Broadcasting Company to manage and built the Disneyland theme park. As a provision for the joint ownership, Walt Disney Productions had the option to repurchase the share within 7 years. In 1960, Walt Disney Productions completed the repurchase of all the share of the company and the theme park became a fully owned part of Walt Disney Productions. Currently the park has been visited by more than 515 million guests since it opened, including presidents, royalty and other heads of state. In 1998, the theme park was re-branded Disneyland Park to distinguish it from the larger Disneyland Resort complex. It’s a great Theme Park for all families. They can meet all their favorite characters there including all the princesses, villains, dwarfs, Mickey Mouse, other Disney characters and can enjoy lots of rides. How Disneyland differentiated from other places was that it had 'Walt Disney', the brain that totally changed the lives of people by adding magic to their lives. Detailed Account of the Burma Riot

..."Burma Road” has been described as the very first sign of a popular movement in the Bahamas, and in the 1988 memoir of Randol Fawkes (The Faith that Moved the Mountain), he features the birth of the labor movement to the 1942 riots: "As long as Fort Fincastle rests on that immovable rock in our capital city," he marked, "parents shall tell their children, and their children shall tell their own of the saga of Burma Road." For most of the Bahamians Burma Road refers to the 1942 riots over pay for the men who worked on the wartime air bases in Nassau. Two rioters were killed by the British troops, more than 40 people were incapacitated and hundreds were arrested, but those unmatched events also led to long overdue transformations. Explosives were used to puncture through the limestone hills behind the caves to provide fill for the new airfield. But there are more important parallels between what is going on in Burma today, and what took place in the Bahamas 65 years ago. In those days it was illegal for employees to “pool “against their employer. But when the airfield project began mopping up some of Nassau's unemployment, two proto unions came together to form the Bahamas Federation of Labor, which Fawkes later led. As a teenager he recalled the events of June 1, 1942: "When we reached the corner of Marlborough and Cumberland streets we heard a large shout. On looking toward the hilltop we saw hundreds of ragged black workers moving downhill towards us.. Some walked swiftly, blowing...
