1. One problem with DIA’s baggage system was inadequate testing. Why is testing important to a project’s success? Why do so many projects decide to skip testing?
Testing helps solve any intermittent issues that were overlooked, or unable to be seen, in the design phase of a project. Such with the power supply issue, testing would have allowed DIA to see and correct this issue, and the same goes with the optical sensors. Projects skip testing for a number of reasons, ranging from timelines that businesses push upon the developers, non-sufficient funds to support the prolong testing needed, or even cockiness from the developers thinking their product doesn’t need to be tested.

2. Evaluate the different systems development methodologies. Which one would have most significantly increased the chances of the project’s success?
The Waterfall Methodology would have significantly increased the chances of DIA’s baggage system being successful. With each phase pouring into the next, you would been able to adjust for the changes in early stages that became disastrous in the end.

3. How could more time spent in the analysis and design phase have saved Colorado taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars?
By allowing for additional analysis and more complete design without last minute changes, DIA could have opened on time or a sizeable amount sooner, saving the Colorado taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.

4. Why could BAE not take an existing IT infrastructure and simply increase its scale and expect it to work?
BAE has never fathomed that their small system in Munich, Germany would have to be scaled up to these proportions. The IT infrastructure could not handle the load due to its design being for a much smaller

My Supervisor Appointment

...My supervisor and I went to a checkup appointment with a consumer who was experiencing some discomfort and pain. The supervisor was familiar with the consumer, who is new to Canada, and knew that there was often a need for repetition to make sure everything is clear and comprehended. Unfortunately, for reasons I could not be privy to, the consumer and her family refused to have a DI present. Throughout the appointment, my supervisor checked in with the consumer to make sure she understood questions, and to make sure my supervisor herself was understanding the responses correctly. Occasionally, the consumer would answer in a way that made it seem like she was not understanding my supervisor, which would then lead to more clarification. The...

Business Research Project

...Research questions and problems The key for you at the moment is to find your topic and once you have identified the topic (choose sth you’re interested in) then it is about making your research topic accessible, What you do is you define a research problem which is an overall problem and you break it down in a serious of questions, so one you have identified your research problem that can be phrased as an overall questions. EXAMPLES: So you have got a research problem which is an overall question for instance, dis TQM worked well for small businesses?. Then you need to break down into a serious of questions, which you need to address to ansewer the overall question. So you need from an overall research question to move on to specific research question. So what you do is you have got this research problem and you devide it into a serious of small steps which you then follow through one by one. So an overall question is broken down into smaller questions (specific questions), which you can then use to analyse your research problem. THAT’S THE IDEA !! * Bad overall research questions: * what types of strategic alliances exist ?would be a very good an overall research question. This is not a good question because you can look it up plus the answer is a knowledge question. It’s just sth which you can easily find out in the business dictionary and that’s it ! So that would not be a research problem because it’s well known , it’s in the text book. As a...

Judge Dee Case Study

...Judge Dee beat Warden Pang for a confession without proof, which wasn't exceeding his power of authority. Warden Pang's beating was simply a lesson that Judge Dee was teaching the warden to not swerve off the paths of his duties. Judge Dee also reveals his Legalistic side during the case of Mrs. Djou. Judge Dee gave Mrs. Djou 40 lashes from a whip because she was back talking him in Judge Dee court, and then was tortured under interrogation while questioned. This again shows his legalistic side and also shows that he is not overstepping the boundaries of his authority. After the 40 lashes from the whip, Judge Dee ordered the constables to put screws on her and torture her by strongly turning the screws tighter and tighter while asking her questions. Another example of Jude Dee using Legalism to acquire his clues and information was when Judge Dee found out about the secret passage that lead to Mrs. Djou's bedroom. The next morning Judge Dee convened a court and told Hsu Deh-tai to confess to having an illegal relationship with Mrs. Djou. Hsu Deh-tai neither confessed to having the illicit relationship with her nor not having the relationship with her, instead he gave Judge Dee poor explanation of why he had that secret passage to her bedroom. Judge Dee being smart, wasn't convinced of his story one bit, and therefore put Hsu Deh-tai under torture where he would be questioned. Hsu Deh-tai was given 50 lashes from a thin rattan as he was questioned. Again, Judge Dee didn't overstep...

So you can never be too sure of what comes your way during the placements. PLACEMENT EXPERIENCE - I started my placement journey by getting shortlisted in Capital One on Day 1. They shortlisted 125 candidates on the basis of resume. Then they took a case study interview and reduced the number to 30. Then again took an aptitude test but finally didn’t give offer to anyone. - Then came Coca Cola on Day 2. They organised GD in the groups of ten each and then there was a single interview of about half an hour which mainly consisted of HR based questions. The topic of the GD was “Are Engineering students wasting time in studies ?”. The interview mainly focussed on the commitment to work with them and asked whether I did any activity depicting leadership skills. - Coca Cola shortlisted candidates with medium profile like moderate CPI with few extracurrecs. I had a target of gettng placed in Qualcomm from second year itself. It came on Day 2 and I got a call from Qualcomm in the middle of the interview of Coca Cola so I could not take their call. Immediately after this I went for the Qualcomm interview but they were not happy and asked me to leave without much interrogation. The results of Day 2 came and I got placed in Coca Cola. Analysis of Poem

...“To Autumn” It has been postulated that John Keats composed his poem, “To Autumn” after a stroll he had on an autumnal evening near the town of Winchester in Hampshire England. This poem is an ode in which Keats adeptly uses formal language, highly vivid and effective images along with the use of personification to describe three different aspects of autumn: its fruitfulness, its labour and its ultimate decline. Undoubtedly, Keats poem, “To Autumn” is a subtle and sophisticated one. Evidently, the title of the poem is different from that of other odes. Normally, an ode’s title begins with, “Ode to…” which provides a hint to certain characteristics of an ode; that is, being dignified and serious. However, the title of Keats, “To Autumn” suggests a less formal form of poetry and hints at intimacy. The level of intimacy is evident especially in the first stanza of the poem in which the sun and autumn is seen conspiring to bring about fruitfulness. Additionally, on the surface the poem seems like a mere description of the main characteristics of autumn’s human and animal activities, but can be interpreted as much more than that. Keats “To Autumn” consists of three stanzas corresponding to the classical divisions of strophe, antistrophe and epode. Each of the stanzas has eleven lines with variable rhyme scheme. The first stanza has a pattern of ABABCDEDCCE, while the second and third stanzas have a pattern of, ABABCDECDDE. However, there is uniformity in the first four lines of...
