The fall wind blew past the train station, howling a sinister laugh that hints at the coming cold weather soon to follow. The lights flickered on, indicating night was approaching. Nevin Brind sat alone on the bench, awaiting his train to take him to downtown New York. Nevin shakes off his doubts that cloud his mind and thinks of the opportunity that awaits him. His mother had warned him of the dangers that present itself during the nights in the city, but Nevin was confident that he would not get involved with anyone or anything that could be trouble. There's nothing to worry about. There's plenty of people here that are still waiting for their trains. It's not too late either. I should be fine.
