Introduction
In this report, I mention about a case study to highlight the managerial issues faced by an organization. Spencer was a plant manager of Modrow Company, a Canadian branch of Tri-American Company. Dick did his MBA and served this company for 14 years. He started his career as a salesman. With time he continued to work successfully on different contracts and finally he was spoken of as “boy of watch”. Later he wanted to move on different career domain, so he finally transferred to the home office of organization. He was nominated as an assistant to senior vice president of production. In the following sections, we will cover the managerial issues faced by dick and his organization. We also try to provide some recommendations about managerial issues identified, researched and evaluated. Managerial Issues

Micromanagement
According to the Wikipedia, micromanagement is a management style whereby a manager closely observes or controls the work of subordinates or employees. Micromanagement generally has a negative connotation. (Wikipedia)
Rather than giving general instructions on smaller tasks and then devoting time to supervising larger concerns, the micromanager monitors and assesses every step of a business process and avoids delegation of decisions. (Wikipedia)
According to the journal, “Micromanagers read your proposals, tell you to develop your prototype, and then insist on telling you how to do it?” (Marino, 1998)
Dick Spencer used to walk around the department of the company and tried to watch the employees all the time. This developed negative impact on the employees. It seems dick sees the things in black and white. He was also a plant manager of Modrow company, the Canadian branch of the corporation. Tri-American is mainly focused on the production of aluminum and other aluminum related operations. The company has wholly-owned subsidiaries in five United States locations as well as foreign affiliates in fifteen different countries. Tri-American was governed by a board of directors who set policy, which was then applied separately by the various plant managers, including Dick Spencer at the Modrow company. The company operates under a decentralized structure where each plant manager has considerable autonomy. This structure encourages a sense of competition among plants within the company; however, it also increased the pressure to perform and increase profitability. The purpose of this paper is to draw on prior research about why people shop in order to explore the concept of social e-shopping, based on combining e-shopping with social networking. We propose that shoppers, particularly young females, will prefer social e-shopping to traditional e-shopping. We carried out a qualitative study for our propositions with a comparison experiment, semistructured questionnaire and focus group, to compare a traditional e-shopping website with a social e-shopping one. The findings reveal that young women prefer social e-shopping sites. Both utilitarian and hedonic young adult female shoppers found social e-shopping enjoyable and useful. However, although many participants found the social e-shopping site more difficult to use, this was outweighed by their enjoyment of the site and its usefulness. The study demonstrates the potential value of the concept of social e-shopping for future research. Evidence from Large Multi-Channel Retailers Alberto Cavallo∗† MIT & NBER This version: April 18, 2016 Abstract Online prices are increasingly being used for a variety of inflation measurement and research applications, yet little is know about their relation to prices collected offline, where most retail transactions take place. This paper presents the results of the first large-scale comparison of online and offline prices simultaneously collected from the websites and physical stores of 56 large multi-channel retailers in 10 countries. I find that price levels are identical about 72% of the time for the products sold in both locations, with significant heterogeneity across countries, sectors, and retailers. The similarity is highest in electronics and clothing and lowest for drugstores and office-supply retailers. There is no evidence of prices varying with the location of the ip address or persistent browsing habits. Price changes are un-synchronized but have similar frequencies and average sizes.
