Raymond Fredric Harryhousin was bornon June 29th, 1920, in America. He started to animate after seeing Willie O Brian's King Kong in 1933, and reading in a magazine how the animation was done he started to animate in his garage. He created a brand of stop motion known as Dynamation. He contacted Wilie obrian and showed him one of his shorts he made he tried to make a stop motion epic but because of the amount of time it required to make in the project was cu short but the the footage he did complete made an excellent demo real it later helped him get a job working with Pal Pupation for Paramount he then went to the army during world war two. After the war he obtand a thousand feet of unused film from the army and with it made a sierras of shorts vary tale this helped him land a job with Wilid Obrian and Macel Delgado on Mighty Joe Young this film would be Willie Obrians last big film as Harryhousin will take over from Obrian as th man special effects guy in film as Harryhousin is a cheaper and quicker animator Mighty Joe Young is mutch the same as King kong . Obrian gets animation credit but Harryhousin did 85 precent of the work. harryhousin next film and and breakthroue came when warner brothers asked him to do the special efects for the Beast From 20,00 Fathoms it was a low budget film only 200,000 dolers the result was he would have to to improvise to create some of the specal efects he wanted because of it he lerned a proces caled split screen it housed rear projection to create the scenes he wanted it was were you had an image projected behind your dinosaurs or what ever you wanted to animate in to a real world background the film became one of the most infuantal si fi films of the 50s after this he after this he went over to to columbe and teamed up with Charles H Schneer that made The 7th voyage of Sinbad it was his first film shot in coulee the plot of the film th that a fsip lands on an island were that meet a magician who is been presued by a cyclpse magician sumuns a barrier withe the help of namagic lamp but drops it when the cyclops throws a rock at him sinbad and his crew and the sorcor escapes back to sin bad home land once there the sorcer corners the sin bad in to accompanying them back to the the island to retrieve the magic lamp it also hilighted harryhousin mythological creturs other actorts in the film were Katheren grant.
