Five years from now there will be an eBooks format or device with a majority market share (>50%) and that will be IBook from Apple.

eBooks are a fairly new technology to the market. This technology has arrived not too long ago and is already going through a transition period. With technology comes innovation. To me innovation is not about inventing the wheel, it's about taking something that already exists and improving it. An example of that its Uber – who would have thought that technology could reinvent the traditional taxi and limo business? Or WhatsApp by taking the best features from SMS and BBM and combining together. We are in the era of consolidation – performing the same task with less. With this idea of consolidation in mind comes my theory that in five years from now there will be an eBook format or device with a majority market share for the following reasons:
First, society is looking for efficiency. Where before people needed to wear a fanny pack to carry their keys, wallet, checks, camera, contact list, phone, credit cards, books, audio music device, nowadays all we need is our keys and an IPhone which already comes with all of the above.
Secondly, when the word technology is mentioned comes 2 names to mind – Apple and Google. These both companies already dominates the majority of the market due to their innovation abilities. Google went from a search engine website to building self-driving car technology and looking to provide worldwide internet access via hot air balloons placed in the atmosphere. These companies itself

...FROM THE AUTHOR OF THE BESTSELLING BIOGRAPHIES OF BENJAMIN FRANKLIN AND ALBERT EINSTEIN, THIS IS THE EXCLUSIVE BIOGRAPHY OF STEVE JOBS. Based on more than forty interviews with Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues—Walter Isaacson has written a riveting story of the roller-coaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing. At a time when America is seeking ways to sustain its innovative edge, Jobs stands as the ultimate icon of inventiveness and applied imagination. He knew that the best way to create value in the twenty-first century was to connect creativity with technology. He built a company where leaps of the imagination were combined with remarkable feats of engineering. Although Jobs cooperated with this book, he asked for no control over what was written nor even the right to read it before it was published. He put nothing offlimits. He encouraged the people he knew to speak honestly. And Jobs speaks candidly, sometimes brutally so, about the people he worked with and competed against. His friends, foes, and colleagues provide an unvarnished view of the passions, perfectionism, obsessions, artistry, devilry, and compulsion for control that shaped his approach to business and...
