Hidden Cryptographic Sequencer Message
If you use the cryptographic sequencer and tune in anywhere in the general range of 700.00/500.00, you will hear a disembodied voice repeating a sequence of numbers over and over. Every time the sequence ends a tone chimes, and then the number sequence starts over again. The numbers are 9 23 9 12 12 18 5 20 21 18 14 2 1 20 13 1 14. If you assign a letter to each number (A=1 B=2 C=3 etc.), the message translates to "I WILL RETURN BATMAN."
On station 500.00/900.00 you get a different numeric string:
5 15 9 7 21 18 18 14 3 5 24 15 12 7 22 3 10 5 15 9 22 3 8 25 26 15 16 25 10 15 17 25 *music c...

Reference to Batman: Arkham City in Arkham Asylum
In the Warden's Office, head back to the room with the Warden's portrait on the far wall. Turn left as soon as you enter the doorway and approach the wooden wall. You can destroy this with Explosive Gel. It may take a bit of trial and error, but one panel can be blown away. Beyond this is an unmarked room with a blueprint on the wall. It shows plans for the relocation or expansion of Arkham to Gotham City. This is a nod to the setting of Batman: Arkham City. For video and images of this Easter Egg, check out IGN's article, Warden Sharp's Plans For Arkham City.
Warden Sharp's Plans For Arkham City
The dear old warden has a secret room for us to explore. by Kristine Steimer
AUGUST 10, 2010

Last year, Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Asylum contained an easter egg featuring concept art and plans for its upcoming sequel, Batman: Arkham City. Problem is, almost nobody noticed it until recently.
Unless you're a pyro, the secret walled-off room stemming from the Warden's office was probably left in peace. Should you care to commit a little more destruction (Hey, why not? The asylum is a mess anyways), we've got a video walkthrough to help you find your way.
More Batman: Arkham Asylum

Inside the room lies a blueprint approved by Warden Quincy Sharp for Arkham City -- a sectioned off area of Gotham. The exact implications are unclear, but there are designated areas for a psychiatric ward as well as a penitentiary, which could be the city's regular prison, Blackgate. The steel plant is also marked, which probably means you'll be taking a tour around that factory at some point in the next game.

Batman may not approve of these plans, but we sure do.

Thanks to IGN reader Jacky Foong for tipping us off to this secret area. What do you make of these plans? Let us know in the comments below.
More Special Features...
 All skins
At the main menu, press Left(2), Down(2), Left(2), Right, Up(2), Down to unlock an option to select any of the bonus skins. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound when you continue your game. -From: Kevin Yanko
 Big head mode
Pull out the Cryptographic Sequencer, then hold L1 + R1 and rotate the Right Analog-stick clockwise ten times to make Batman's head and all enemy head's larger. Repeat the code to disable its effect.
 New Game Plus mode
Successfully complete the game on the Normal or Hard difficulty to unlock New Game Plus mode. This mode allows you to keep your previously earned gadgets and experience points. Additionally, there will not be any counter icons on thugs, thugs and Bosses will be more difficult, and thugs will have different configurations.
 Taunting
Rotate the Right Analog-stick clockwise repeatedly to perform a taunt. Note: If you execute a taunt before performing a glide kick with Batman or Robin, the view will change to the enemy's perspective.
 Alternate ending
Note: The alternate ending requires the bonus "Catwoman" downloadable content. In Catwoman's third mission, when you have the option to go left or right with the "loot", go right to view the alternate ending. You will still be able to go backwards and not ruin anything in the main campaign.
 Hidden messages
Use Batman's Cryptographic Sequencer to go to the following coordinates to intercept secret radio broadcasts that read numbers, make a buzzing sound, and then repeat the numbers again. When the numbers are matched to the corresponding letters of the alphabet, they spell out a hidden message. Note: Some of the secret broadcasts may not be available until after completing the main campaign.
Hidden message 1
Location: X: 700.00, Y: 500.00
Message: 9-23-9-12-12-18-5-20-21-18-14-2-1-20-13-1-14
Decoded message: "I WILL RETURN BATMAN"
Hidden message 2
Location: X: 500.00, Y: 900.00
Message: 5-15-9-7-21-18-18-14-3-5-24-15-12-7-22-3-10-5-15-9-22-3-8-25-26-15-16-25-10-15-17-25
Decoded message: "YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO ME"
Hidden message 3
Location: X: 200.00, Y: 500.00
Message: 3-20-26-18-26-16-24-1-11-4-24-9-3-8-5-2-12-18-6-16-7-11-3-10-17-5-13-4-21-8
Decoded message: "FEAR WILL TEAR GOTHAM CITY TO SHREDS"
 Easy Augmented Reality Challenge
One of the last four Augmented Reality Challenges appears to be difficult because you are supposed to execute a U-turn during your dive bomb. This can be done more easily by using the grapple boost going past the first checkpoint, then turning around while gliding. You can then glide through all the checkpoints much easier.
 Easy high scores with Batman in Combat Challenges
Alternate throwing the Batarang and evading or jumping over the heads of enemies until you get to do a special move (combo 5x or 8x). You can do this five times before it will not add to your multiplier. If it gets blocked, it should not break your combo. It seems throwing Batarangs in succession also works well, as you can throw at least two at a time, and it will not break a combo. Additionally, jump into the middle of enemies, and perform the Bat Swarm.
 Harley Quinn pregnancy
Go to the manager's office inside the Steel Mill. On the floor, next to the Harley Quinn costume, there is a positive pregnancy test.
 Batman: Arkham City reference in Batman: Arkham Asylum
In the Warden's Office in Batman: Arkham Asylum, go back to the room with the Warden's portrait on the far wall. Turn left as soon as you enter the doorway, and approach the wooden wall. You can destroy it with Explosive Gel. It may take a few tries, but one of the panels on the wooden wall can be destroyed. Beyond the wooden wall is an unmarked room with a blueprint on the wall. It shows plans for the relocation or expansion of Arkham to Gotham City. This is a reference to the setting of Batman: Arkham City.
 Killer Croc reference
After you defeat Ra's al Ghul and are leaving the subway tunnels, instead of going the correct way, backtrack until you find a gate blocking your path. You should see a button on the far wall and a gap in the iron bars. Throw the Batarang through the gap to hit the button. There will be a cutscene with Killer Croc. Note: You cannot reach this area again after this point in the game.
 Lost reference
During the second visit to the Steelmill, you will see The Joker on the large TV. He will start talking about TV shows, and say "How come it all ended in a church," which is a reference to the TV show, Lost.
 Scarecrow reference
Note: To access this secret room, you must have the upgraded Cryptographic Sequencer with the "TYGER" codes installed. Just north of the Industrial District in the Harbord, glide onto the Falcone boat west of the two cranes hanging over the water -- where you do the first set of Augmented Reality challenges. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer to hack the door on the boat. Enter "CityofTerror" as a password to open the hatch on the boat. Inside are a bunch of containers with cockroaches on them and a dead inmate. There is also a shipping invoice for Dr. J. Crane (Scarecrow's real name), hinting that Scarecrow did survive the Killer Croc encounter.

Scarecrow Hideout
Go on top of a boat near the industrial district (the boat should be near two cranes). While on the boat, take out the cryptographic sequencer and use it. Letters will appear instead of the radio stations. Turn the letters until it reads "City Of Terror." A secret passage on the boat will open. Go down into the boat to find hundreds of roaches, a medical order form addressed to Jonathan Crane, and a Scarecrow victim who will squirm if you zoom in on him.

Some sinister-looking man is stalking your every move, watching you from the rooftops of Arkham City like a murderous hawk. So why not walk up and say hi? The Watcher in the Wings side mission involves you finding this mysterious figure in four separate locations, all of which are unknown to the almighty Batcomputer. Fortunately, our technology exceeds that of the world’s greatest detective.

Location #1

As soon as Batman completes his first story mission involving Catwoman, you may spot the watcher up on the roof just south of the courthouse. Approach him and he’ll vanish, leaving a symbol behind. Scan that symbol to complete part one of this side mission.

Location #2

In the eastern part of the Industrial District there’s a ferris wheel. The watcher is waiting at the very top. Again, approach him and scan the symbol after he leaves. You’ll need to have finished the steel mill for the first time before the watcher will appear at this location. If you’ve already done that, and the watcher is still absent, try quitting and reloading the game.

Location #3

Look on the roof the building northeast of the entrance to the subway. It’s one of the tallest buildings in the Bowery, so it’s not hard to find. You’ll need to have already interrogated Quincy Sharp before the watcher appears at this location. If you’ve done that, and the watcher is still absent, try quitting and reloading the game.

Location #4

Check the roof of the building just west of GCPD. You’ll need to have already rescued Vicky Vale before the watcher appears in this location. If you’ve done that, and the watcher is still absent, try quitting and reloading the game.

The final signil

Scanning the fourth symbol that the watcher leaves behind will automatically take you to the Batcomputer screen. Use the right and left sticks to rotate and move the sigil so that its four points match the four locations in which you spotted the watcher. Doing so reveals the watchers final location: the eastern side of the church. Scan the symbol on the wall there to complete this side mission.

Someone in Arkham City is stealing identities - more specifically, slicing off faces. True Batman fans may already have an idea of the villain behind it all, but for those who don’t know the Dark Knight’s legend, more evidence is required to find out who’s behind these murders. Here’s how to get this mission done - spoiler-free of course - as soon as each portion of it becomes available.

Victim #1

The Identity Theft side mission can be officially started as soon as you exit the subway following your disabling of Penguin’s third communication disruptor. The first victim can be found just east of the subway exit. This victim’s location will be the only information explicitly given to you by the Batcomputer in regard to this mission.

After scanning the victim’s head and the blood nearby, follow the trail north around the building, then south, and finally east. You’ll come upon a witness with more information, but unfortunately none of it pertains to victim #2’s location.

Victim #2

The second Identity Theft victim only appears after you’ve completed the first main story mission inside the Museum. Look for a small alleyway in the middle of the building north of Ace Chemicals. Scan this victim’s face and the weapon next to him. After a lengthy conversation with Oracle, it’s up to you find the next lead. Head south.

Victim #3

Once again, the next victim will not appear until you progress past a certain point in the game. Finish your time in Wonder City and rescue the infamous new inmate when you get back to street level. Now you are finally free to find the third victim, who is lying in the middle of an alley on the south side of the Ace Chemicals building. As you approach the corpse, Batman should make a remark about finding another victim; if he doesn’t, quit and reload your game.

Scan the victims face and the spot of bleach near his body. Follow the trail of bleach to another alley to the northwest, interrogating the inmate you find there. Finally, you have the location of the killer’s hideout: an apartment just east of the courthouse. Enter the hideout and listen to the journal on the table to trigger a scene. Hack the console afterward to escape the hideout, completing the mission.

Crime Scene #1

This side mission becomes available after you leave the Steel Mill for the first time in the main storyline. Check your map for an S.O.S. signal coming from a rooftop in the Industrial District. Speak to the man there until...
Scan where the bullet hit to find its trajectory. Follow this south the location marked on the map, then turn on detective mode and search the floor of the cage for a casing.

Crime Scene #2

There won’t be crime scene #2 until you continue with the main game and explore Arkham City. Eventually, you’ll hear a gunshot and a large area will be isolated on your map that shows the relative location of the shot. To find the exact spot, see our map. The victim is located in the middle of the bridge at the northern part of Arkham City. Walk around him until Batman makes a comment, then scan the highway median to find where the bullet hit.

Follow the trajectory to a rooftop to the southeast and check the corner of the stone railing for a tripod. Scan it using detective mode.

Crime Scene #3

The third crime scene won’t trigger until you either enter the general Park Row area, or continue with the game, whether it be the main missions or side missions. We weren’t able to proceed until after we finished the main story. Eventually, you’ll hear another gunshot and another large area will be created on your map. See our map to find the exact location of the victim.
The victim is lying dead between a destroyed car and a gate. He’ll be surrounded by inmates, so be ready for a fight (we thoroughly de-thugged the area before taking that screen). Scan the bullet impact point on the gate, then follow the trajectory back to a metal shutter. The bullet ricocheted off of here, so scan that impact point and follow the new trajectory.

Follow the line up to the corner of a rooftop and look for where the sniper’s body heat melted the snow. Scan the area.

Deadshot’s stash

There are three locations where you could potentially find some more evidence. Check our map for the actual location, which is the building north of GCPD. Open the hatch seen above to find a PDA, which you must hack with your cryptographic sequencer. This adds a new location to your map: one which you must get to in under two minutes.

Defeating Deadshot
This is the least difficult part of the side mission. Just stay behind cover and move closer to Deadshot whenever he looks the other way. Crawl through the vent ahead of you and take him out from underneath.

...essay (1,265) Internet is a fast developing technology and the popularity of video gaming had been growing in recent years as well. Furthermore, video games also influence teenagers in a positive way. In recent years, many researchers found that teenagers tent to be more violent in behaviour after playing video games which might lead to crime for instance. Bösche (2010) states that video games lead to both aggressive behaviours and positive cognitions simultaneously. One of the positive effects of video games is securing players' attention and it can be implemented in education. Ferguson (2010) suggests that the violence and excitement of video games can draw players' attention easily, therefore video games can be used as a medium for spreading positive information. For example, educational tasks can be included in a first-person shooter game which appears to be a life saving mission. Besides conveying the importance of life...

The Negative Effects of Violent Video Games on Youth

...The negative effects of violent video games on children and teenagers Since the advent of coin operated arcade games, video games have come a long way and spread to the homes of many children and teenagers, in both developed and developing countries (Bryant & Vorderer, 2006). On one hand, the fierce competitions among the gaming giants such as Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft can be blamed for this phenomenon; while on the other hand, the internet alone is responsible for placing a universe full of games at arms reach of anyone with a computer and a decent internet connection. However, many games are not suitable for certain age groups. These include games which contain material that is explicit in either the lyrics of its songs, its bloody and gory action scenes, or even scenes that are considered borderline pornographic (in the game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the main character can enter strip clubs and receive lap dances) (Allofgta, 2008). Usually, many of the games containing significant amounts of violence are designed for mature audiences; nevertheless, their popularity among teenagers and children, who ironically constitute the largest contributors to the profits reaped from these games, is always on the rise. In Lebanon and many other countries in the middle east, no video game rating system or law exists, which allows children and teenagers to buy any game they want. Consequently, as Vorderer and Bryant explain (2006), "young video game players may be exposed to substantially...
