...ITS SETTING I. Introduction As professionals, CPAs perform an essential role in society. They are responsible to all those who use their professional services. They also have a continuing responsibility to improve the art of accounting, maintain the public’s confidence, and carry out the profession’s special responsibilities for self-governance. However, the role of a CPA in helping businesses come up with a good and effective decision-making is said to be one of the important responsibilities of a CPA. The many traditional roles of a CPA in assisting businesses take on even greater importance in a volatile economic environment. CPAs are relied upon so much because of not only their keen analytical and decision-making skills but also their objectivity, integrity and dedication to service. Many CPAs provide services well beyond accounting, auditing and reporting. The consumer often expects a CPA to be proficient at many specializations, even those just indirectly related to the traditional role of an accountant. The CPA's role has been quickly expanding, and one leading CPA proposed that the term CPA more appropriately stand for Certified Professional Advisor. You will work them again in week 5 or 6 when you review because you will forget what you learned. If you watch a video in week one and score an 85 on the corresponding MCQs, will you be able to score an 85 four weeks later? Not likely. ...achieving our dreams. It is a preparation for our future roles. Without education, we cannot develop our skills and talents that will help us become successful in our respective careers. It is the only way where we can achieve our goals. According to Manali Oak, “Education gives us knowledge of the world around us. It develops us in a perspective of looking at life. It helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life. People debate over the subject whether education is the only thing that gives knowledge. Some say, education is the process of gaining information about the surrounding world while knowledge is something very different. They are right. But then, information cannot be converted into knowledge without the catalyst called education.” Information is everywhere. But it’s not enough that we just gain information. We need education for us to be able to understand and interpret it. Through education, we develop proper attitudes, values and behavior towards other people. We learn how to interact using good manners and appropriate conduct with the people around us. “The words ‘cultivate’ and ‘civilize’ are synonymous with ‘educate’. That says it all. Education is important as it teaches us the right behavior and good manners thus, making us civilized. It teaches us how to lead life. It is the basis of culture and civilization. It is the instrument in the development of our virtues and values. Education cultivates us into mature individuals, individuals capable...

Enterprise-wide, sometimes referred to organisation-wide or integrated though enterprise-wide risk management was also called organisation-wide or integrated risk managemnet. Risk management decribles how the discipline of risk management is partised in contemporary terms. In the definition by James Deloach, “EWRM is a new strategic process which enables you to identify, measure and manage the entire range of business opportunities and risks facing your organization.”(Deloach, 2000) The definition of CPA is “the way which approaches the problem of risk across the organisation in a truly and integrated way and involves everyone in the business”.
