Within any organization, it is vital to provide solid employee training and career development plans for employees. Employees may stay behind in skills or may even lack training when it comes to new systems, technology or other procedures that the company may need in order to perform better. This is when the importance of training is evident. An organization has a large responsibility for their employee success which is why training, development, and career development is imperative to an organization.
Businesses can improve their success by training and developing their employees. The role of training is consistently being redefined and is one of the most important parts of a business overall strategic planning. The company must contribute by providing the tools necessary by the employees as new expectations and goals are set. Training is used to guide supervisors as well as employees to improve productivity, quality, morale, and profitability. It is important for the employer to increase the employees’ productivity. Training also enables employees as well as managers to produce high-quality performance. Better training can provide in business competitive advantage over other business. Training also helps build employee management relationships. ("Learning, Training & Development", 2014).
Employee Development Methods
The leadership development method is used to help well performing employees rise to a leadership level. With this training, the best employees are placed and a specialized training program that helps them develop the skills to become team leaders. This program encourages employees to reach for higher levels, and helps the company promote within.
Training increases in employee’s commitment to their job and organization, not to mention that better understanding of jobs accidents, which in turn help reduce the organization's cost (DeCenzo & Robbins,
