* * As Riordan Manufacturing is moving forward to implement changes in the customer management system they are trying to identify the potential sources of resistance to change. An individual source could be fear to the unknown, we will implement a new system and this could create a climb of anxiety around the employees. Another factor could be the economic factor because people may be concerned that they won’t be able to perform the new tasks or routines to their previous standards, especially when pay is closely tied to productivity. * To overcome the resistance to change Riordan Manufacturing is designing a 12 month strategy that will help the employees to process the change. This strategy will include education, communication and participation.

New System Implementation Strategy | Month number | Action | 1 | Inform all the employees that the system will be change and provide them with the dates of the training sections | 2 | Training to managers and team leader with the new system | 3 | Training to employees by the team leaders (will provide opportunity to use the new system in training mode to allow the employees to develop questions and suggestions. | 4 - 6 | Implement the new system and advise managers to keep track of any problems or concerns with the system | 7 | Meeting with managers to discuss possible adjustments to the system | 8 | Implement any necessary changes to the system | 9-11 | Evaluate performance of the system | 12 | At this point everybody should be comfortable working with the system. Refresh training will be provided for employees that need it. |

To evaluate the success or failure of the planned change, at the end of the 12 month period I will create a research process in which I will evaluate the overall performance of the employees. I will ask the managers to provide an individualized performance review
