When I first started this class, I did not know much about writing. It was a very good experience. I had a long ways to go as far as writing. I found myself being more open now than I ever been in a class setting. English class is very challenging. The class is a very small setting. It’s very interesting to come up with ideas, thesis statements, and so forth. I have a lot of issues with my punctuations and spelling words.
Although, English class has taught me to speak a lot better. I can plan out what I am trying to say when; I am speaking to other people. I have been told when I am talking to people that they cannot hear me clearly. Since, I have been in English class; my language has gotten more clearly. I like my professor because he gives me his honest feedback on my papers. Dr. Baker makes it easy for you to understand his English class and what he is talking about.
I have had a hard time writing in this class because I have never been a writer. I do not like to write. I rather let the computer do all of the work for me. I have so many problems with how to begin a topic sentence or a thesis statement. I do not like writing thesis statements because it is very difficult to come up with one. I especially hate to revise my paper. Because most of the time, my mind just wonders around.
