First, lowering the legal drinking age to 18 is not a good idea because it is morally irresponsible. When you are 18 you tend to be less responsible and less mature than you are at the age of 21. With age comes maturity. Second, lowering the legal drinking age to 18 is not a good idea because alcohol could potentially lead to the use of other drugs. When drinking alcohol and becoming intoxicated you tend to not think as clearly as you would being sober. This may cloud your judgment and allow you to make choices one would normally not make if not drunk. Introducing alcohol at this point could have grave results such as; memory loss, vulnerability to addiction, and risk taking behavior.
