 PAST TENSE: Of all my bad and nice experiences in highschool, camping is my favorite even though it only happened in the school premises. We had camps when I was 4th year in highschool. My favorite camp is the first when the juniors and we, the seniors, collaborated to have our first camping for our rover scouting. It was a surprised for us that it isn’t only just camping because they implemented strict rules and policies for three days and two nights. One of the rules is to always be on time and always do things quickly. We are assigned to find our groups, but then I and my bestfriend were late in the meeting of the group of our section so we don’t have any other choice but to build another group with the other sections. At first I didn’t expect that it would be successful for our group because we’re not that close. Before the camping, our teacher gave us the list of the things that we should only bring. Our camp started assembling by 4 in the afternoon. We are given tents to build shelter or the place that we will be sleeping in. At that time, we also met the persons that are assigned to give us our tasks from our main commander and also to guide and help us. We are first assigned to elect the leaders for our group, and after that the main leaders was task to go them for further instructions. They thought our leaders the whistle signals that they will be using and our leaders also thought them to us while we were eating our packed dinners. They also assigned the name of each group and they tasked us to make a cheer. The first night was not that exciting because they only introduced their selves to us then they let us watch videos that gave us information about the history of rover scouting. At about 10 in the evening they let us wash and sleep. Our group planned to wake up before the time that they said to us, so we were awake by 3 in the morning. We took our baths first before the others. We also cooked our breakfast at the exact time and we had eaten our food unlike the other groups. At exactly 7:30 am we are gathered for our Flag Ceremony and Morning Prayer. They also checked our clothing and they let us shout our cheers. Our grab master was tasked to go to the inventory room for our food supplies. After some orientation, they tasked us to slaughter the live chicken and make it tinola for our lunch. Only two members for each group were allowed to do the cooking. And while they were cooking, we played some games that made us gain some points. That afternoon, we were divided into two groups per station, each station that we went to thought us basic things that rovers do like the different kinds of knot tying and how to hold and fold the flag properly. After visiting all the stations, we are informed that we had to present a group skit and cheer during the night. As we eat the canned goods given to us for our dinner, we planned our skit and before the assembly for the camp fire, we managed to have a little practice of what we will do. We had so many laughs as we watch our schoolmates cheers and skits and we had so much fun while our guards perform their skit. After all the performances and the closing speech, we had our goodnight sleep. The next day, we also had our flag ceremony then they also gave us our awards. Our group, Gabriela Silang, got two awards: 1st place for the best in cheer and 1st place also for the best in skit. After the awarding was the best part of the whole camping, the obstacles! There were 8 obstacles that each group has to pass. My favorite obstacles are: passing through the web like rope without touching the ropes, crawling in the mud and crossing through the log in the tree. We had so much fun and it is such a great experience for all of us.

 FUTURE TENSE:

10 years from now, modern technology will surely be applied in education especially in private schools. I can imagine that all schools 10 years from now will have computers and internet. Maybe professors will just connect with their students to give notes. There can also be complete education in through the internet. In other countries, especially in Japan, robots are in use for teaching students. So I can imagine that the fast developing countries will also make robots for teaching the students. There will also be less printout books for students and more of files in their gadgets. Studying will be a lot easier than the present. 10 years from now education will be more social, open and real. It is social because it can be talk anywhere at almost anytime with the internet. Student’s work can also be read by all because it can be post in the internet. And because of that students tend to make their works better.

 PRESENT AND FUTURE PERFECT TENSE

I see myself now as a teenager who is full of dreams and is hungry for more experiences in life. I am not yet at my full bloom stage but rather in the developing stage. I do know that until now I still have stage fright. My self-confidence is still in the process. I know that I can do more and attain more if I take my studies seriously. Memorizing is where I am weak, so I decided to put more effort in the subjects that needs memorization. I am a girl who is constantly happy despite of all the problems that I encounter everyday. I love laughing and listening to people rather than speaking to them. I cherish and don’t forget all of my friends especially the ones who have been close to me. I love bags and shoes, so I don’t bring money when I am going to a mall. Traveling and vacations are the things I like to do with my friends and with my family. I love reading books, but now I focus first on my studies. I simply am learning to live my life to the fullest.

How do I see myself in the future? Well of course I do see myself as a successful woman. After I finished my course, BS Accountancy, I shall have my review for the CPA Board Exam. I will have passed the exam and shall have found the right job and company for me. Maybe I will still have to be at home with my family until the time I shall have enough money to buy a lot and to build my dream house. I do imagine that I will have that peaceful garden at the back of my beautiful and simple house. I shall have a collection of my shoes and bags by that time. I will have bought all the things that I like in moderation by the time I had enough salary. I will have made a party for the blessing of my house with all my friends invited after my house is built. I shall have my weekly time with God for my peace of mind. In the house or in the subdivision, I shall have my daily exercises by the time I wake up. I shall have my schedule and things organized before my work starts. 12 years from now, I can imagine myself at the front of the altar with my fiancé. We will have as many as 3 kids.

This story was about three couples who got together, Mark and Beth, Joe and Sally, and Elaine and Jack and decided to play a little game.
