JD’s Restobar: The Newest Eroreco Restaurant

Eroreco is known for the famous Pamilya Grill restaurant, Rinjin, the Japanese restaurant and now, on the same street JD restobar has opened!

Opening Night!
The food is your average Filipino food. However JDs restobar has cheap, cheap prices. The food is average and won’t break your wallet. The prices are student friendly ranging from 70 pesos -100 pesos and families will enjoy their cheap meals. Portion sizes are small to reflect this cheap price.
---------------------------------------

Opening Night!
Unlike Pamilya Gril, JD’s serves alcoholic drinks which gives them an advantage for barkadas or families looking to do some drinking. JD’s also serves seafood pala pala style where diners can chose and select their choice of seafood and have it cooked directly.

Kiddies ordering their meal!

JD’s barbecue.
Please try and visit JD’s restobar. Located in Eroreco Subdivision on Margarita street, this place offers families and friends an alternative choice in dining.

Alice’s Recipes: Good old-fashioned meals

We had the chance to finally try Alice’s recipes! (click here for address). Alice’s recipes is a really cozy restaurant, located near Gaisano City, Bong Bong’s and across from Metrodome.

The door to Alice’s recipes.
Alice’s dishes are mainly of the rice meal type.. You know, the typical filipino meals that you find served with garlic rice and atchara. This combination is what makes Alice’s recipes a favorite – traditional food served with no frills. The interior of the restaurant is quite clean and comfortable.

Alice’s recipes.
We tried their baby back ribs and it was okay. The sweet-savory taste of the meat went very well with the garlic rice and atchara.

Back ribs!
We also tried the chicken sisig and it was quite delicious! The sisig was given an earthy, meaty taste with the addition of liver.

Chicken Sisig.

We enjoyed our visit to Alcie’s recipes. We weren’t disappointed with their meals. Their portion sizes were generous and we left with full tummies and satisfied appetites.
Alice’s Recipes: Where Delicious Food is a Family Tradition

Alice’s Recipes is one of those dining places in Bacolod you might have missed because of its simple facade. You might have passed by it several times, but not knowing there’s a gem hidden behind the simple and unassuming appearance, you dismiss it as just another ordinary restaurant. Places like Alice’s Recipes thrive because of word of mouth. Those who’ve tasted their food sang praises and share the experience to their friends and relatives.
I was meeting with friends for dinner when a friend suggested we try Alice’s Recipes. I asked if it’s a new place and she told me it’s been open for a few years already. Indeed, I remember passing by it several times.

The place is small and there’s only one but quite friendly waiter. Alice’s Recipes offers really delicious food at a very reasonable price. Try their Basil Vinaigrette Salad (P138), a mix of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber with their homemade vinaigrette dressing and your choice of chicken or beef flakes. The veggies are fresh and crisp while the meat flakes add more flavor to the salad.

My personal favorite is the Beef Ropa Vieja ni Lola Nita. It’s their Spanish adaptation of the traditional tapa. At P98 and served with fried egg and garlic rice, it’s irresistible. The shredded tapa was very tasty, add Alice’s very own hot sauce and you’d be asking for extra rice.

Their Baby Back Ribs come two variants, the Classic with smoky barbecue sauce and Hacienda with tangy and spicy Hacienda sauce. Both are served with garlic rice and achara at P158 per serving. The meat was very tender with just the right amount of mouthwatering sauce. If you want a little zing, add a little of their secret hot sauce and say goodbye to your diet.
My friends swear by their other best-sellers, Spare Ribs ni Doc (P148), Chicken Adobo Flakes ni Lola Seryang (P88), and Chicken Teriyaki (P118).
As in most cases in Negros Occidental, the best food are the ones served at home during traditional family gatherings. Alice’s Recipes feature the food that the Torres – Pandan families share at dinner after their traditional Saturday Mass. Fortunately, they shared their treasured recipes to us so we can enjoy them with our own friends and families.
After the first time we dined at Alice’s Recipes, we’re hooked and we’ve been back several times already. In fact, we celebrated the Negros Bloggers’ second anniversary at Alice’s Recipes.

Bottom of FormImay's: Food Fest! by buenababe Updated Jul 7, 2011
Imay's is one of Bacolod's best restaurants. They serve seafoods mostly and other meat dishes. The restaurant is big and spacious with a native touch and usually crowded at night.

We usually have family gatherings here or have party on special occassions. The food serving is kinda small though for the price but they are cooked deliciously and it's all worth it.

Favorite Dish: I like most of their food and to name a few, such are crispy kangkong, baked scallops, grilled blue marlin, kare-kare, watermelon shake! Delicioso!!!

The test will assist instructors with programmatic placement determinations such as identification and placement of ELLs. These assessments are called W-APT which stands for WIDA-ACCESS Placement Test. It is considered to be English language proficiency “screener” test. The tests are written from the WIDA’s five English Language Proficiency (ELP) standards: Social and Instructional Language, Language and Language Arts, Language of Mathematics, Language of Science, and Language of Social Studies. Ell Assessments (Formal and Informal)

...Brianne Hart July 26, 2012 Module 3 Janice Norris Throughout the United States of America, teachers and also administrators have prolonged issues concerning appropriate coaching for English Learner's who have shown troubles with reading as well as studying. Educators often feel as if they are not as prepared as they should be to supply content material instruction because teachers are not sure whether their student is having a difficult time as result of a reading issue, learning disorder, lack of training on their part, or possibly limited English proficiency. Unfortunately, the result of this kind of distress has been under as well as over representation associated with English students withinside restorative as well as education lessons. Every state has their own formal as well as informal assessments that they use to determine the different proficiency levels of their students. The first thing we as educators must do is build background knowledge on our students. Doing this will allow us to see what our students already know about certain topics. Some ways that you can build background knowledge is by free recall, word association, structured questions, recognition, and unstructured discussion (NYSED Guidelines, 2012). Explicit instruction is another assessment used and is very useful when students are obtaining literacy. Under explicit instruction, the academics are split up into smaller sections that are more compliant for the students. Another...
