Eric & Kipsy: complexities of management and organisational behaviour (a) Analyse the issue of management and organisational behaviour which are raised in this case study.

From our discussion, we found that a lot of issues in this case. We will discuss and explain what the error and problem encountered. There are many issues of management and organisational behaviour such as:

i. High turnover and absenteeism of staff.

When absenteeism was particularly high on any given day, part-time employees were called to fill in. Of cause they all not familiar with the job, system, procedure, equipment and so on. When company hire new worker to work here, of cause company need to train and give full support to ensure new worker perform well. It is involve cost and waste time.

ii. Low level of motivation

Keeping employees motivated is an important element of not only getting the most out of your employees, but also in retaining your best employees. The best employees are always in high demand, and will change companies if they are not kept motivated at work. But unfortunately in this case study, most of their worker demotivated with various factor such as company policy and time management for personal and work lives.

iii. Excessive error

Too much of error will give bad effect to the company. It will effect to other person or other department and company also cannot consider with people that always make same mistake. Errors will make company always absorb the cost, automatically reduce effectiveness and efficiency.

iv. Unfriendly telephone manners
The clerks were often abrupt and unfriendly to the salesmen when they called. It will give bad impression to the company. Handle business by telephone, displaying impeccable manners is crucial to landing sales and repeat business. Our voice represents our business. From the way we answer

Upon completion of management training, he was assigned to manage anew office comprising over 35 employees. Day to day operations • The operators receive calls from the salesmen in the field using operating consoles. ...The University of Redlands Wind Ensemble, directed by Eddie R. Smith, put on a show at the Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 16th. Walking into the monumental Chapel I was unsure of what to expect. As I walked in I saw the amazing artwork around, the high ceilings, and a wide variety of instruments scattered on different levels of the stage. On the first level there were many small hand held instruments such as flutes and clarinets, on the second there were a wide variety of brass instruments, and finally in the last row were the percussion instruments. Knowing that it was a wind ensemble and not a traditional orchestra like the ones we have been made familiar with during this course, I was unsure of what to expect. I thought that it would be long and drawn out but I thought that I would not hate it and be able to at least respect the quality of music even if its not exactly my favorite genre. Much to my surprise, it was relatively short (only about 45 minutes) and was relatively interesting. I found myself tapping my foot to the music and enjoying the sounds very much. I was very impressed by the talent that these young men and women had, especially after hearing that they had prepared for this show in only three weeks.
