Apple Essay

...they could do? Apple faces many competitors in the various industries it participates in, especially on the mobile side. One of the biggest problems that apple faces is the high cost of its products, such as iPhones and iPads. Competitors are constantly cutting their products prices in order to attract customers away from apple. Therefore, Apple must find a way to keep its products cost down to an affordable price range to maintain its customers happy. Apple's competitors have the ability to sell their products at little to no profit forcing apple to find a way to reduce the cost involved with producing their products in order to maintain the same profit margins it has enjoyed. One of the areas Apple has a problem with is the scarcity of materials available that are crucial to building its products. In order to stay on top of the competition, Apple is constantly introducing new and updated products to the market with superior hardware than its competitors. These new technologies come from companies with very specific hardware that is hard to come by. Therefore, Apple must lock up these companies in order to use their hardware exclusively but also aid them in their growth. The demand for Apple products is so high that supplies to Apple have a hard time keeping up with production. Apple can help itself by investing in the infrastructure and growth of these companies it depends on to get its product out in quantities to satisfy the market. Apple maintains its market...

Apple Marketing Essay

...The Importance of Marketing to Organisations in the 21st Century – Apple Introduction: Apple Inc., formerly named Apple Computer, Inc., is an American multinational corporation which is based on designing and manufacturing consumer electronics and related software products. It was established in Cupertino, California on April 1, 1976 and its primary business is to develop, sell and support a range of personal computers, computer software and hardware, portable media players like the “iPod” and more recently mobile phones known as the “iPhone”. Since its birth, Apple has operated in approximately 200 stores in 5 countries and an online store where hardware and software products are sold. The iTunes Store provides music, music videos, television programs, movies, podcasts, iPod games, and audiobooks, which can be downloaded using iTunes on Mac or Windows, and also on the iPod touch and the iPhone. The fundamental reason why Apple Inc dropped “Comupter” from its corporate name was so that it could expand into the other aspects of the consumer electronics market without restricting itself to its initial focus on personal computers. This report will use Apple Inc as a case study to underline the importance of Marketing to Organisations in the 21st Century. What is Marketing? The modern definition and history of Marketing: In an electronic journal called “Broadening the Concept of Marketing”, marketing was defined as involving “product development, pricing, distribution and communication;...

Apple Tv Persuasive Essay

...Dr. Dre Tag Teams with Apple to Take on Netflicks The New York Times reported that 2015 was Apple's best year for Apple TV sales, but they still have not found a way to compete with Roku, Google Chromecast, or Netflicks. The companies are providing unique content to their subscribers without the need for cable, satellite, or even a cable box. Park Associates Research reported that last year, "Apple accounted for only 13% of sales and only 17% of usage in a poll of homes that used a stream stick." Consumers are increasingly demanding original programming. Business Insider says, "Amazon has developed original content such as "Mad Dogs," and Netflix plans to spend $5 billion on content in 2016." Since Apple is behind in the "stick" market and...

...Apple vs Androids Apple and androids are very similar , but they also have several differences. Apple and androids or the most popular phones out., and loved by many people. People love iphones and some people love androids but some people like both, BUt i believe that iphones are better than androids. I think that because they have better qualities and space you can use a lot of gigabits and still have a lot a space left on your iphone but on an android when u download 3 apps your storage goes up and it says your storage is full. Apple¨s are different from androids because they have smaller screens than some androids phones, Iphones 5 have longer battery capacity, and iphones have a very high price when you try to go buy them. Indeed, Apple has outsourced various functions in terms of manufacturing, assembly and logistics as its contract manufacturers and outsourcing companies can perform several value-creation functions at a lower cost due to low-cost location and other competitive advantages. We are living in a globalized economy in which overhead and production costs are the single most important financial factor that can determine a product’s success or failure. Apple produces most of its products such as iPods, iPod minis and iPhone in China, thus ensuring a very low production cost and an increased US market attractiveness (Scribd, 2011).The single most important reason for outsourcing iPod and iPhone production to China is that the manufacturing costs are significantly lower than what...

RESEARCH DOCUMENTS BOOK NOTES AP NOTES Home » Miscellaneous Apple Ife Matrix Analysis By alexpadron | March 2008 Add to Library (0) Download Print Report this Essay Page 1 of 1 Apple IFE Matrix Analysis It was pretty surprising to me to find that all the different groups came up with fairly similar ratings in their IFE matrix for Apple Inc. My group, management, had the second highest rating at a 2.78 and I felt that we were fairly critical of the different strengths and weaknesses for the company. The groups that pertained to a more financial aspect like finance and accounting seemed to have lower scores, which were not as far above the average for utilization of resources internally. This seems interesting because many companies use resources outside their company to assist them in correcting financial problems. Also, there were a few strengths and weaknesses that every group mentioned in their matrix and they were: Steve Jobs leaving and then returning(W), large increase in inventory(W), products are globalized(S). It was interesting to see that Steve Jobs leaving and then returning was on everyone groups list because with out him these last few years Apple Inc. would probably not be where it is at today. The only downside to this is that there seems to be this great dependency on one person in...

Fruit Sayings

...Essay on Compare And Contrast: Apples And OrangesPeople often use the phrase “comparing apples and oranges” to explain the vast differences between two particular things. While thinking up a topic for a compare and contrast essay I decided that would be an interesting subject. Apples and Oranges are actually very similar in many ways, though they do have their differences as well. In this essay I will explain some of the differences and similarities between these two fruits. The first and probably most obvious similarity is that they are both fruits, and quite popular fruits at that. Both apples and oranges are tasty and are good sources of vitamin C. The FDA recognizes apples and oranges as a full serving of fruit on the food pyramid. Another similarity between these is that they both grow on trees and are generally a round spherical shape with seeds in the center. They are both often packed in lunches or as snacks because they are easy to handle and can last a long time in a refrigerator before going bad. In contrast, apples are usually red or green, and oranges are surprisingly an orange color. Also, apples are crisp and generally sweet, whereas oranges are juicy and sour or tangy. Most people will eat the outer layer on an apple, but the outer layer on an orange is usually peeled off before of it is eaten. Oranges contain calcium, which helps strengthen bones, while apples contain cancer fighting antioxidants called flavenoids...
