I feel honored that I was chosen to be accepted into The National Honor Society. I never expected that I would get the chance to join, but this has proven me wrong. This shows that I have a chance to join. To be completely honest, I have only heard about NHS from my cousins who are already a part of NHS.I think that I deserve this honor, because I know myself that I have worked hard for this and believe that I have what it takes to be apart of The National Honor Society.

As I am aware, The National Honor Society recognizes students with grades that are quite outstanding and a great character. I believe that I possess both. My grades from last quarter and the quarter before were quite outstanding. My quarter one’s GPA was 4.0 and quarter two’s GPA was 3.8. As you can see my grades are top priority because I work hard for the grades that I want and achieve.

Unlike most kids in Hawaii, I was raised in different surroundings. Although, I was born here in Hawaii, I moved to Alaska when I was 2 years old. Compared to my life in Alaska to life in Hawaii, they are completely different from one another. Life in Alaska for me was quite a pleasant one, Alaska was my …show more content…
It built my character and my leadership skills. Even after the change, I'm still in the work of building and improving both of those traits as time goes on. With the skills I have, I will achieve more by use them beyond high skills. These skills will be very useful beyond high school, especially if I am looking to apply for a job or college. College’s and jobs look at those two things in a person, their character as soon as they walk through that door and in the past and the leaderships that they have accomplished.
