The Mayor of a large city was given a free membership in an exclusive golf club by people who have received several city contracts. He also accepted gifts from organizations that have not done business with the City but might in the future. The gifts ranged from $200 tickets to professional sports events to designer watches and jewelry. I understand that the Mayor of the city is the big boss. He controls what comes in and goes out of the city. Why must the Mayor receive gifts for the duty that he was employed for? If anything the taxpayers who pays these contractors should be the one receiving gifts. I don’t think this is acceptable, the Mayor ensures the city runs smooth. I haven’t yet seen a parent get a gift from the teacher or principle or any type of schooling system for teaching their child to be a good kid. I know for a fact that Locke would have addressed this situation the same I would of. He would of demand to get those gifts and give it to the less fortune in the city to the one who does need the extra help. And doing so this action can help the city come together. By this Locke would have started war with the city for no respect. Locke believe in our natural rights meaning that he believe in commonwealth and by that it was to enjoy our personal rights, and honored the right of each other living together as commonwealth.

A college instructor is pursuing her doctorate in night school. To gain extra time for her own studies, she gives her students the same lectures, the same assignments, and the same examinations semester after semester without the slightest effort to improve them.
Your personal life with your work life should not interfere with one another at all times. If you can’t commit to doing something then why do it all. I understand the college instructor is trying to get her doctorate. As much effort that the college instructor is giving herself she should also give the same effort to her students. What if the students find out exactly what she is doing? Most likely her students are going to cheat. If this course of action does happen this will be problem that might impact her professional career. The college instructor actions are only good for herself, she is not respecting her students. This is not fair for the students that are actually there to learn. If I was one of her students I would take this situation into my own hands and notify that this is unethical. If my statement did not change her way of doing things. Then my only other option would to be notify the school and immediately drop her class, for not giving me the respect that I deserve as the student. Even though Locke was about peace he believed in equal rights. The college instructor isn’t in the right mind set of that. From my understanding Locke would’ve taken matters into his own hands but his actions he would be taking would be different from mind. Locke wouldn’t stop until he had gotten answers he wanted from the dean. Also until the same rights are giving from the instructor to the students.

Todd and Edna have been married for three years. They have had serious personal problems. Edna is a heavy drinker, and Todd cannot keep a job. Also, they have bickered and fought constantly since their marriage. Deciding that the way to overcome their problems is to have a child, they stop practicing birth control, and Edna becomes pregnant. Todd and Edna had done a mistake by stop practicing birth control and having the baby. From my experience they had done a big mistake. I have seen from my eyes friends of mine they had tried the same thing it never work out. How can you fix a problem by adding another one? It just won’t work I had seen them go through a lot of stress because they had made this decision. They can’t even stand to see each other. A child birth is no joking matter or it’s a problem solver. Neither of Todd and Edna represent the greater good. This choice does not only impact them but as well as their child. Their relationship is not going to work for them and their child will be raise separately. This really only impact their child growing up without both their parents.
