Evaluating Business Communication
After reviewing the communications from the Week Four Learning Team assignment I felt that the finished communication was well prepared. The one question I have was how did our assignment compare to the other learning teams because we had only three members on our Learning Team.
The first communication in our report was the Accounting Peer Memo. The memo did convey the intended message that JJJ was not a good investment for the company. The message could of contained more language that accountants use, as this is a communication from an accountant to other accountants. This type of communication was the most appropriate because any other form would not have as effective, for example an email would not have appropriate enough to convey the message professionally enough. The one thing that I would change to improve this communication would be to add an indentation at the beginning of every paragraph to make the look more professionally written. There were no ethical implications in this memo, because it was written by the head of the accounting department to the accountants in the department all were privy to the information. The memo shared right amount of information because it is the Accounting that did the audit and therefore they have access to all information concerning this deal.
As the author of the second memo it is hard not to be biased. After reading the memo along the others I now see the flaws in my work. The memo appeared to be put together in a way to convey the intended message. The message however is not a good example because I see now that the message contained far too much questioning of a personal nature. By asking the sales manager if had some intimate knowledge of company, this is something that may pose an ethical dilemma for the simple fact that the Sales Manager may signed a Non-Disclosure clause with JJJ Company when he left to come work for ABC. I would change this format from a Memo to an email because the Sales Manager may not privy to some of the information that was disclosed in the memo. An email would have allowed this communication to less long winded and more to the point.
And lastly the third Memo the one going to the company’s CEO was the most well written communication of the three. The memo was formatted perfectly, the only thing I found wrong was the lack of indentations at the beginning of every paragraph. The message was conveyed properly to its audience. There are no ethical implications of the information being shared because the CEO should be privy to all information concerning this proposed deal. This communication really helped to bind all the others into one cohesive work. There is no other communication that would have appropriate to present to the company’s CEO.

Of these, the impact of ICT and the new knowledge economy are the most significant. Changes in our educational practice lead, in turn, to changes in our approaches to teaching and learning. These changes also impact on our teaching and learning paradigms. Currently, as over the past few decades, we teach and learn in a constructivist learning paradigm. This article discusses past and present paradigm shifts in education and then explores possible future learning paradigms in the light of the knowledge explosion in the knowledge era that we are currently entering. 1. The impact of ICT on education The electronic information revolution currently experienced in the world can be compared to and reveals the same characteristics as the first information revolution started by Gutenberg’s printing press. This means that, just as present-day society accepts...
