Fairhope, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia are both amazing cities in their own right. One is enormous, and the other is small. Atlanta is a financial hub that attracts people from around the world, Fairhope is a far less populated city that grows from within. Both cities have astounding beauty that share the same warm feeling that is only found in the southern region of the United States. Although they differ in many aspects, Fairhope, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia share several similarities. The city of Fairhope lies in Baldwin County, Alabama and embodies everything that a small southern town should. Flowers and trees that make the town so beautiful are an important part of the culture of Fairhope. A small beach is only minutes away from the center of town. Next to the beach is the center of tourism in Fairhope, a large alluring pier that extends out over the Gulf. A beautiful fountain that is centered at the pier is illuminated with different colors at night. During Christmas, The site of town square is breathtaking. All of the trees are decorated with white Christmas lights. During fall when the trees turn different colors, the city becomes a stunning wonderland of different color leaves. All of these things mixed with the long, windy, scenic roads makes Fairhope a hidden gem among the county. Similar to Fairhope, Atlanta showcases the beauty that the south is capable of, but in a much more substantial manner. The city of Atlanta is laid out in a circle. In contrast of Fairhope, the center of Atlanta is filled with tall buildings, large parks, aquariums and a Ferris wheel. All of which is a Mecca for tourists to come from all over and see the attractions. The closest beach on an ocean is about a four hour drive, or one hour in a plane.
