Eating is crucial for an individual to survive. Food is full of nutrients and vitamins that give the human body energy. Depending on the age of the individual determines the intake of food, and what foods are better or worse for the human body. Proper nutrition is essential for an infant to develop and grow into an adolescent then an adult. Eating food is easy, but eating healthy actually takes preparation and a proper understanding. A proper education of nutrition is essential for a family to grow healthy together. If there is a lack of understanding, malnutrition can harm the body and lead to even worse health conditions such as diseases. Ones social behaviors, and environmental surroundings can translate into nutrition. Social-Economical status plays a role in food decisions, such as preparing, storing, or obtaining. With the right management and education a family can be healthy together and avoid health risk.
Lack of education on nutrition is becoming a problem for families in the United States. In todays society it is easier and cheaper to eat fast food. Fast food such as McDonalds, and Burger King serve processed foods, which don’t have the vitamins the body wants. But it is more convenient because it’s inexpensive and quicker than preparing something at home. What one eats, and how much they eat can determine their health. With the wrong diet intake, too little or too much can lead to diseases such as anorexia or diabetic. Diabetes is a disease where too much sugar is in the blood. Sugar is important for the body because it is a form of energy for cells and muscles and also your brains main form of nutrition.
