Famous Brands = Famous brands is known for being Africa’s largest branded food service franchisor, such as: Steers, Wimpy and Mugg&Bean to name afew. The company was first listed on the JSE in November 1994 at R1 a share and the past two decades have created an overwhelming change, with famous brands being listed on the JSE’s top 100 companies. 2016 alone there have been 192 new stores opened and the franchise network is now in excess of 2700 restaurants. Famous brands offers a wide variety of products , from quick take aways (such as Steers) , seafood on the go (Fishaways), food from other cultures (Salsa and Mythos), pizzas , coffees , breads and even restaurants in hospitals (Netcafe).Famous brands started with a Greek man George Halamandaris …show more content…

If the brand and its products are unique and can’t be replaced with substitute products, it will ensure a beneficial investment and a long lasting company. If the target market suits the people the investor sees as his target market and can relate to the most it will also persuade the investors decision, for example: a 25 year old male isn’t going to invest in a baby food company because he can’t relate to the market which will be mother, he will much better relate to a beer franchise.
