“Jejemon”
Jejenese at Jejebet
Mga halimbawa: * Filipino: "3ow ph0w, mUsZtAh nA?" salin sa Filipino bilang "Hello po, kamusta na?", * English: "i wuD LLyK tO knOw moR3 bOut u. crE 2 t3ll mE yur N@me? jejejejeje!" salin sa Ingles bilang "I would like to know more about you, care to tell me your name? 'Wangwang' at 'Level-up'
“Poverty has forced them (mahihirap) to do so,” paliwanag ni Torralba.
Ang Ambagan ay tugon sa 1987 Constitution: Article VIV, Section 6: “The national language of the Philippines is Filipino. As it evolves, it shall be further developed and enriched on the basis of existing Philippine and other languages.”
Ang komperensiya ay itinaguyod ng FIT, Wika ng Kultura at Agham, Inc. (WIKA), National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA,) Paaralang Humanidades: Mga Paaralang Loyola, Pamantasang Ateneo de Manila, National Book Development Board (NBDB,) at Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Furthermore, this analysis will reflect on the issues related to cross-cultural transmission of values and identify the influence of diaspora communities in contemporary British society. Hannah migrated to UK together with her mother and three brothers as dependents of the father who came few years earlier for employment in London. According to available data of Philippine Embassy in London (PEL), there are approximately 250,000 Filipino migrants in the UK (PEL, 2011a). This analysis will review all available information from the narrative and other data gathered about the history of Philippine migration to UK. The first wave of Filipino labour migration took place from 1900 to early 1940s with USA as main destination (Gonzales 1998, p.26). The second wave was from 1940s to early 1970s. After World War II, Filipino war veterans and their families, business people and specialists such as medical personnel or engineers left their devastated country and migrated to Canada, West Europe or the USA (Gonzales...

Reading Habits

...Language and Culture There are many ways in which the phenomena of language and culture are intimately related. Both phenomena are unique to humans and have therefore been the subject of a great deal of anthropological, sociological, and even memetic study. Language, of course, is determined by culture, though the extent to which this is true is now under debate. The converse is also true to some degree: culture is determined by language - or rather, by the replicators that created both, memes. Language as Determined by Culture Early anthropologists, following the theory that words determine thought, believed that language and its structure were entirely dependent on the cultural context in which they existed. This was a logical extension of what is termed the Standard Social Science Model, which views the human mind as an indefinitely malleable structure capable of absorbing any sort of culture without constraints from genetic or neurological factors. In this vein, anthropologist Verne Ray conducted a study in the 1950's, giving color samples to different American Indian tribes and asking them to give the names of the colors. He concluded that the spectrum we see as "green", "yellow", etc. was an entirely arbitrary division, and each culture divided the spectrum separately. According to this hypothesis, the divisions seen between colors are a consequence of the language we learn, and do not correspond to divisions in the natural world. A similar hypothesis is upheld in the...
