This paper is about my son’s experiences in an early childhood setting and how it helped him. This paper will hopefully give you some insight on how it affected him in good ways and how it gave him the courage to make it in an actual school setting. |

Early education is very important to a young child because they learn the most within the first five years of life. The earlier they start their education the better they are going to be later on in life. I am writing this paper based on personal information I obtained while having my son attend a daycare facility. This account is based upon the experiences my son Matthew had in the facility that he attended since he was six months old until he was five years old. I am hoping to reach people on a personal note with this information and personal experience.
I have talked to many daycare and early education teachers and they all say the same thing “you have to love children to work in this field” (Personal interview). The director of the school her name is Mrs. Delores Nelson and she is very good at her job. She was a teacher for many years before she became director. She used to work in an infant classroom and also in a preschool classroom. Mrs. Delores has told me that in order for you to understand a child you pretty much have to think on their level of thinking. Literally find out how an infant’s mind works or how a toddler thinks because you cannot treat them as adults because they will in turn look at you like you are crazy. I thought that was very good thinking because she is totally right they do not understand adult words you have try and say what you want them to know in their own language.
