Finger Shoes in India
By Team Asia While India remains a poor country it is on the right path toward economic growth and is becoming one of the well known emerging markets on the globe. The drive behind the India market has to do in part with the perfect competition market, economic liberalization and the increase in foreign investments. One of the main industries in India is textiles and it is one of the fifth largest retail markets in the world. The retail industry in India has experienced tremendous growth over the past 10 years and as a result the traditional family-run retail shops are facing stiff competition from international and Indian retailers. With all this being said, we chose finger shoes as our product. We feel that India displays environmental factors suitable enough to support our product. We’ve developed both a strategic and tactical approach in which our product will not only thrive but become a “must have” in the retail industry. There are five environmental factors that influence global and domestic marketing decisions that organizations must make. The five environmental factors are: Demographics (Age Distribution, and Social Environment), Politics (Regulatory Environment, Physical Transportation Infrastructure (Airports, Seaports Railroads, and Highway), Economics (Income), and Communication Infrastructure. The social forces of the environment as defined in Marketing include the demographic characteristics of the population and its values. These five environmental factors are important to the success of the global distribution of finger shoes in order to provide a product that is useful, fun, adventuresome, affordable, and versatile for the Indian market and profitable for our American based company.
In order to consider the environmental factors of demographics our company must look at age distribution. “India has 1.2 billion

Abhishekam to Ganesha Hinduism is considered the world’s oldest religion; although, it might be more accurate to call it “a way of life” or a philosophy instead of a religion. Hinduism is incredibly diverse and it is deeply tied to the people and culture in India. It does not have a single founding figure, neither has a "church" or institution to ensure its application, and no single holy text like other religions, but several. Hinduism is characterized by the belief in reincarnation, one absolute being of multiple manifestations, the law of cause and effect, and the desire for liberation from the cycle of birth and death. It is globally accepted as a polytheistic religion; however, many Hindus believe in one supreme and ultimate being named Brahman. Hinduism personalizes Brahman in three main deities: Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. Hindu temples are built to worship God and Gods, through offerings, rituals and prayers. Worship is primarily individualistic rather than congregational, and also it can be practiced every day, there is no a particular day to go to the temple. The reason for attending the Hindu temple is to visit a particular Deity, in order to receive her or his great blessings. The Hindu temple is a special space where we can experience the Divinity. Family Businesses in India

...Introduction The Indian economy and the importance of family-owned groups The Economy of India is the ninth largest in the world by nominal GDP and the fourth largest by purchasing power parity (PPP)[1]. The country is one of the G-20 major economies and a member of BRICS. The country's per capita GDP (PPP) was $3,408 (IMF, 129th in the world) in 2010, making it a lower-middle income economy[2]. As a result of the financial crisis of 2007–2010, coupled with a poor monsoon, India's gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate significantly slowed to 6.7% in 2008–09, but subsequently recovered to 7.4% in 2009–10, while the fiscal deficit rose from 5.9% to a high 6.5% during the same period[3]. India’s current account deficit surged to 4.1% of GDP during Q2 FY11 against 3.2% the previous quarter. The unemployment rate for 2009–2010, according to the state Labour Bureau, was 9.4% nationwide[4]. As of 2010, India's public debt stood at 71.84% of GDP which is highest among BRIC nations. The latest GDP growth figure slipped to 6.9% and industrial production numbers just released, on December 12th, showed a decline of 5.1% compared with the previous period[5]. Inflation and capital flight are two clear factors that have hurt the Indian economy. First, inflation has stayed over 9% since December 2010, and wage inflation is also on the rise. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the country's central bank has been hiking interest rates since March 2010 to curb inflation[6]. Family owned...

What would be the implications for production strategies of companies if this is the case? Whenever we listen to it on the news, read it inside the newspapers, catch people chatting about it, the phrase globalization looks like it has a different meaning. So the question, what exactly is globalization? What are the key drivers? How does it affect international business? Through describing the importance of globalization for international business and investigating main ideas of the international business atmosphere, above questions will be answered. Until we have an understanding of some drivers of Globalization we may not be able to see how the business or firms --- as an individual and collectively --- will be like in the future.
