Introduction to University Studies class helped me realize how to create a plan of action for education and professional success by reflecting on lessons learned throughout this course. I would like to touch base on my favorite topics throughout this class and discuss my further plans in my professional life.
Discussion
* In the following sections I discuss my course reflections of US101 that include my long-term results in completing a degree, the proper use of tools and assessements, stress and time management, critical thinking and academic writing. I will discuss how I intend to apply these skills into my professional life. * Long –term results in completing a degree * For many high school students, it is hard to imagine what the long term benefits of a college education might be. I was one of them. I knew in the back of my head that college education is important and good to have, but was not very serious about it. My point of view changed when I had my two kids. I realized that without a proper education and a degree, I would not be able to get a high paying job with benefits. In college, my most important task is to learn and begin to take charge of my life by making my own choices. In fact, what I am expected to do is more than likely exactly what I would like to do: learn more about intriguing subjects. Before entering the workplace, it is a good idea to take advantage of this opportunity for social growth and learning. The fact that I’ll be building a career for the rest of my life is reason enough to make time for a college education, in every sense of the word. Choosing the right career is also a big plus. When you spend as much time as you’re likely going to in building a career, it’s important that I choose something I enjoy and can perform well. If I make myself aware
