Success in college translates over to my persona as acquiring and constantly cultivating the principal attributes that constitute the well-rounded individual: educational, social, and moral feats. This suggests that my definition of success not only depends on a single aspect or factor but rather multiple departments in order to achieve complete satisfaction, which consists of a matured personality and prosperous future. Success requires no limitations to when fulfillment reaches maximum capacity, and therefore, drives and motivates me to dream of near-impossible achievements. Evidently, this signifies I will never cease to make a continual effort, even once I have reached optimal satisfaction, to strive towards success and the development …show more content…
When I enter college in a couple of years, I will likely have the resemblance of an adolescent's morality. In contrast, to the pre-collegiate world, graduation from a successful college experience will mark my moral reform by exhibiting the moral consciousness of an adult. The moral principles of human beings exist in continual development with the person; therefore, my maturity level signifies how my moral values critically influence my standpoint on personal success. According to the Writing Program Administrators Council's “Framework for Success in Postsecondary Writing,” responsibility and engagement are two of eight habits of mind that are essential to be “critical for college success” (2011). I definitely agree with the Writing Program Administrators Council, especially with improvement in the responsibility aspect of a human being. The final partition of college success, to me, consists of nurturing main moral principles, like responsibility, in order to be compared to the outside world where scholars constantly prepare to arrive at one day. “Top 10 Secrets of College Success,” by Lynn F. Jacobs and Jeremy S. Hyman, tip seven clearly supports my point on responsibility and involvement by claiming that the reader should “take each test three times” (2010). Although it may not seem viable or reasonable to take a test three times, before, during, and after the examination, the process is the perfect exercise for gaining a sense of responsibility and accountability for my actions. Additionally, showing interest and involvement in a subject suggest to the professor that I am currently matured enough to proceed with my future aspirations.
