I feel that it is more important to ensure that children participate in organized activities rather than providing children with free time to engage in imaginative and creative play. According to adolescent health expert Janet Collins , organized activites help children grow into responsible adults. In passage two it also states that being involed in a program requires commitment and that this dedication teaches children the value of being on time,practicing teamwork, and working hard to accomplish a goal . To me , for a child to be in an organized sports or prorams helps children interact with other kids and helps build a bond that could last a life time . I feel that such free form play will hinder a childs social skills and effect how kids enteract with each other and on some occasions such free form play can get out of hand . For example, what if your child and your childs friend were pretending too be acrobats and want too try and do flips off of tall objects and hurt themselves . In passage one there was some intersting ideas such as this one that states according to experts in child development , children need to experience creative play to learn how to express themselves , become independent thinkers , and interact with peers . The only problem i have with that statment is that cractive play helps interact with peers. I dont think creactive play helps a child to inreact with peers because unless they make friends they wont learn how too . But i love the idea of creactive play helps a kid become independent thinkers and helps a child express themselves .
