But she always instilled in me that I needed to get as much education as I could, and go as far as I could to reach my goals. She passed away in 2007 but I know that she would be very proud of me for going as far as I have. It shows that I have dedicated my time and worked that much harder through deployments, field training and the stressors of everyday life. I think being in the military for the last 15 years has actually given me the skills to study more in this day and age. I have actually learned a lot about different type of software and computer programs that I would of never knew had I not come into the army. As a supply sergeant you really have to know more than just the basics to get by. We don’t just use Microsoft programs in our daily tasks. Seems like every year the army makes a new system that we have to learn in our job and if you don’t know how to use the basic computer programs it will interfere with these programs as well.
