He focused solely on the biological aspect of philosophy as opposed to Plato who focused on mathematics alone. He believed in what we called a geocentric universe; saying all planets and stars were perfect spheres while the earth was not. Ptolemy was also a believer of this geocentric theory stating that our earth was the center of the universe, backing his claims with his observations of stars and planets.
