GAMING DOES HELP YOU AT TIMES

To develop a skill in something which you are interested in also helps you use those skills in your daily life. One such sport is gaming. Though it may seem that it has no fundamental use in our day to day life, it shapes our concentration to an extent where we can utilise it for other things.

It is said that non gamers can see 3 to 4 objects at a time and react, gamers can see about 6 to 7 objects at a time and the reaction time is quicker than that of a non gamer. It is seen that those who are socially awkward tend to open up while they play games online. They tend to communicate their whereabouts in the game itself which results in making new friends when there is a team game. The coordination between your eyes and your hands tend to sync according to your brain’s command which results in quick movement and fast reflexes when in the real world and not in the world of simulation and first person shooting. There are many merits in gaming but there are two sides to every coin. As much as how gaming can be useful for body control, increase in concentration, there are also a few demerits to it too.

You can differentiaite gaming as team games and a single player games. Most of this generation games are of team games but there are also a few single player games which many people do play. They tend to be isolated from the social world and are confined to their “gaming chambers” as some people call them.
They do not want to make many friends and frankly their best friend would be the console or the PC they play their games on. There are also health concerns. Many people play for days without sleeping and that leads to sleep deprivation. They do not participate in physical exercise and tend to be a couch potato at home. The more they play, the more the after effect would be. Their eyes gets strained and other problems like RSI.

In every activity we do, there are always some merits and demerits. If we overdo something the body can take a bad hit. Not just in gamng but in anything we do.
Most people think that gaming is a useless activity but it helps us in many ways and its plain fun. But if we overgame then there are certain side effects which we can experience and it wouldn’t be for the good. A friend of mine, Pruthvi Das, who is a gamer and has participated in gaming competitions abroad has a lot of inputs about gaming. He says “these days gaming is considered as an Esport. Few games such as DotA 2 and CSGO are considered so. You could also gain profits from it. Recent studies suggest that gaming is not related to violent breakdown. It strengthens relationships and breaks them too. Gaming is also a great stressbuster. It relieves the mind of any kind of tension, trust me I know. When I study something which I feel is boring and I cant understand, I just game for a while to release the tension in my brain and then I go back to studying (laughs).
To end with what I feel about gaming and I quote ‘Gaming is love. Gaming is life (laughs).

Gaming is something which canot be utilised only for entertainment, it has its usefullness as well and I feel that this Esport is something which can benefit our lives once we see the goodness and usefullness of it.

Week 2 Analysis

...Intent of Report: This report is intended to provide CanGo management an understanding of the challenges that they face and a recommended plan of action that will help CanGo overcome these challenges. This report covers the first and second week of videos provided for analysis. Findings: 1. CanGo is a company that is operating without a strong vision or mission statement along with a set of values that identifies their presence and purpose in the market of online gaming. CanGo also does not have a clear business strategy: without this it is very difficult for any of CanGo’s personnel to have any sense of business acumen. 2. During the management meetings it is evident that there is a strong need for some structure and proper utilization of the strategic management process. Everyone seems to be working on projects that are not their strong points, and clear deadlines and expected deliverables are not established. 3. Currently CanGo does not utilize proper planning. Management does not give subordinates appropriate guidance to establish timelines for project deliverables. It is also clear that Nick, the project manager was perhaps a poor choice by management due to his lack of organization, planning skills, and experience in project management and leadership. It does not help the situation that Nick was given very little direction from his superior, Warren. 4. CanGo dove into a new business venture without any financial or market analysis that will afford...

Recommendation #1 By creating a flow chart, CanGo will be better able to more easily manage processes at CanGo. The flow chart will help break down the overall processes into sub-processes. That is what makes them easier to manage. Complaints and returns were the biggest complaints from the previous year. If CanGo implements the use of a flow chart, they will be able to break down the process of handling customer service into sub-processes. Cango Senior Project

...Project Course Exercise If businesses/organizations are to succeed, it is imperative that there be definitive and attainable objectives and results. The organization will define objectives by looking at the marketplace in which the organization is competing, the core competencies of the organization, recognizing how these can be applied to the goal of success, and then applying the organization's skills and competencies to accomplish the successes. This also means that the organization needs to identify areas it will not pursue – those that are not directly related to the core elements and competencies of the organization. As an example, if a company were focused on developing and manufacturing sporting equipment, it would need to determine if this includes all sporting equipment or a selection of products. Further, the company would need to determine what would be the various levels of support it would provide to its customers. For example, would the company take its equipment directly to the consumers for demonstrations and lessons on how to gain the optimal results with the equipment? All of these types of decisions would be the result of the organization developing a strategy for how it will conduct its business. All of this translates into Strategic Management with the intended result of gaining a competitive advantage in a business niche. Very simply, developing a Strategic Management Plan means having defined what is the best set of results the organization can attain...

...(10 pm Monday night) “You finish your Homework yet?” ( Insert sounds of buttons being mashed and clicked) “ALMOST DONE MOM!!!” : Typical week night for the modern day gamer. “Go Go Go!” My commanding officer shouts to me as we run down the battle field. I hear footsteps and turn to my left taking out two bogies with a single shot, I tell my friend Jon there are two on his right, they fall as well. We race towards the objective bobbing and weaving through the crossfire bullets whizzing overhead, debris clouding our vision. Closer, closer…CLOSEERRR, grenades are tossed at feet, “GRENADE GET DOWN, GET DOWN!” and then…Blackness. “Huh? What the…” I look up at my mom standing there power plug in hand and giving me “that look”. I drop the controller flip off the TV and hit the books. I’m sure I’m not far off assuming this scenario or something similar has happened to many other people this day an age. It is not uncommon to find one if not more gaming consoles or computers within a household this day and age; they have become apart of our modern society and look as though they are here to stay for the long term. The organization’s failure to systematically allocate resources for periodic improvements/updates to these facilities have cost it the inability to attract or retain customers. In fact, just recently the organization relinquished one of its AC properties, The Trump Plaza to its competitor, The Golden Nugget (Wittowski, 2011). This is allocation of resources is critical in an industry where customer retention is correlated to the amount of expenditure and improvements made to the facilities. This slump in the organization competitive performance has been the case for quite some time. The Trump Organization has repeatedly fell at the brink of filing for bankruptcy – due to high leverage, low liquidity, and poor operating performance compared to its competition (Bingham, 2011). While financial stability has been a problem for the Trump Organization, the company’s AC properties, in particular, seem to have a problem in terms of branding. To be specific, the company should tailor and focus its marketing efforts on upper end customers, as opposed to the conventional strategies of AC which is to try to satisfy...
