Only in the last decade, homosexuality stopped being considered a mental illness in China. If two men were caught being sexually intimate with one another they would be arrested ,having to pay the penalty, of being a prisoner for many years to come ,or go into mental treatment ,where they would be cured ,for their mental illness.
