I think one huge global investment which many of us overlook is the global tourism. According to Futurist.com author Glen Hiemstra, the largest world industry over the past forty years has been global tourism. The key component is the invention of rapid air travel worldwide. Recently numerous airplane builders such as Boeing have looked into developing faster and more efficient planes in order to spike air travel once more. The article gives a great example of this by indicating that many Americans such as me would love to visit countries like Australia. The only downside is the fact that it takes so long to get there and financially for many is a burden. Many would say that rapid air travel and not the computer is by far the most important thing that has happened in our society. Many people are willing to take risks to see and experience things outside of their own comfort zone. So in many case people enjoy traveling to other cities and countries to experience and see different cultures. As side from this our world is starting to develop eco fuels such as hydrogen cells to make air travel more cost efficient and eco friendly. If one was to look in possibly considering a field to get into engineering is a great avenue to go. I read this article and realize that although my sales job seems to have nothing to do with this it is actually goes hand and hand. Understanding where our business ventures are going will help better prepare myself as well as many other to become knowledgeable in these areas for future opportunities. Along with this the article shows the drastic incline of elderly in the next 20 years as more and more baby boomers hit their mid sixties and begin to retire. This in turn will help provide more positions globally for younger individuals looking to get into this possible field. It is truly intriguing to see where our economy will be heading in the

Criminal Justice Trends Evaluation

...Criminal Justice Trends evaluation Marion Wade CJA/394 Criminal Justice Trends evaluation It is important for us to understand past, current, and future trends throughout the criminal justice system. Trends allow us to identify areas that need to be addressed so we may be equipped to handle them better. Society depends of the criminal justice system in many ways to offer them a sense of justice, safety, and peace of mind. Within this paper I will discuss past, current, and future trends and how it affects and changes our criminal justice system. I will also address recent and future trends and contemporary issues that affect the criminal justice system, as well as the values of the criminal justice system in a changing society. Past Trends Even though to most it may not seem like it, the criminal justice system has come a long way in its dealings with the public. In the past the criminal justice system was viewed as a faceless machine that acted independently of the areas it charged to look after. It seemed that it was better to stay detached from the public in order to remain biased in their judgment and to keep their professional appearance. By studying past trends we not only were able to see trends in criminal behavior as well as having the ability to try and create possible projections on why it could lead but, we were also able to view the interaction between the criminal justice system and those it served. Both the criminal justice system and the general public...

U.S. Education Today & Tomorrow

...U.S. Education Today & Tomorrow This paper reviews four important trends in our educational system today across America and discusses the impact of these trends on our future educational system. We live in an ever evolving world with constant changes that are affecting every aspect of our lives daily. Our educational system has not been immune to these changes and shouldn’t be since these changes and our ability to adapt to these changes will determine our future academic success and our place in a global society. Trend 1: Diverse & Older Population America has always been a melting pot of diversity, but current statistics show that in the near future minorities will become the majority percentage of the population (Pearson, 2010). Immigration, legal and illegal, have been substantial for a long time now and is changing the needs that educational systems have to address. For example, the need for qualified and minority teachers who can teach English as a second language will and does continue to grow (Pearson, 2010). Educators will have to adapt to this also by being more sensitive to various cultures and perhaps re-evaluate the current curriculum to promote multicultural literacy. Furthermore, the number of people that will retire will be doubled by the year 2050 and there will be fewer people of working age paying into the tax system that helps support education and elder services (Pearson, 2010). Because of this, financial constraints most...

Organizations must attempt to look to the future to plan for investments, commence new services or products, and make a decision on whether to suspend or extract other services or products that are currently on the market. Sales forecasts assist with preparing the budget, campaigns and new approaches for the future marketing plans. According to Mullins and Walker (2010) an organization must decide upon a technique to organize for forecasting. The organization must take into account the market potential to determine the consumer demand for new services or products. Forecasting assists in predicting sales revenue for at least five years in advance. Forecasting will also serve as a means to identify the target market and trends that could impact the sales of the new service or product. The cell phone industry has proven to be one with continuous evolvement. As technology advances the innovation and competitive market continues to generate more options for consumers at low competitive pricing. Consumers in the cell phone market are demanding higher quality cell phones with multi functioning capabilities that have forced manufacturers to create cell phones that combine numerous electronic devices into one cell phone. Global Manufacturing

...Essay #1—Global Manufacturing In this essay, I will be discussing the emerging trends that will affect manufacturing in the upcoming years. I will begin with focusing on the global nature of manufacturing and supply chain. One major issue concerning global manufacturing is the cost of manufacturing. Looking at Exhibit 1 from a study by the Boston Consulting Group titled, “The Shifting Economics of Global Manufacturing”, we can see the top 25 export economies as well as their cost of manufacturing. Considering all of the 25 countries mentioned in this study, the highest cost in each of these economies is labor. Labor is a huge expense for many companies around the world, which drives the global trend of outsourcing labor to countries where it is cheaper in an attempt to lower this cost. The cost of manufacturing in each of these countries is constantly changing since there are so many factors involved. Labor for example is constantly changing and generally becoming more expensive as a country’s economy begins to grow, since workers are becoming more skilled and demanding more rights and higher wages. There are many changes going on in manufacturing and supply chain processes. Particularly, there are 4 forces that are setting countries apart from each other and allowing them to be more competitive. Those are wages, exchange rates, labor productivity, and energy. In my opinion these forces are areas that countries need to focus on improving and maintaining in order to be able...

What Macro Information Leads to Long-Term Investment Strategy?

...competitors. Longterm investment requires asset managers to be more sensitive to future economy trend. Ted Lee pointed out that for long-term view, US market continues to shrink, while the future three group countries will be China, India and Brazil, due to their low correlation with international capital which benefits the portfolio. While India and Brazil are respectively going through political change and recession, opportunities could be largely obsessed in the future, as seen by professionals. In 2015, most of money actually came from Asia, but this is not the only macroeconomy signals that lead to such certainty about future market segments. Based on conversation with Ted, I conclude another strong macro-economy signal as business development. On September 19th 2014, Alibaba IPO ranked as biggest IPO in the world after additional shares sold, which surpassed a previous global record set by Agricultural Bank of China Ltd in 2010. Looking through past five years, largest IPOs includes a lot of Chinese company, which indicates strong signal of fast development of China. According to E&Y’s report (figure 1.1) of global IPO market, due to IPO rally, China became the largest IPO market in 2015, with 372 IPO trades involving 60.3 billion US dollars. Global Warming

...Global warming What is the greenhouse effect, and is it affecting our climate? The greenhouse effect is unquestionably real, and is essential for life on Earth. It is the result of heat absorption by certain gases in the atmosphere (called greenhouse gases because they trap heat) and re- radiation downward of a part of that heat. Water vapor is the most important greenhouse gas, followed by carbon dioxide and other trace gases. Without a natural greenhouse effect, the temperature of the Earth would be about zero degrees F (-18°C) instead of its present 57°F (14°C). However, the concern is not with the fact that we have a greenhouse effect, but it is with the question regarding whether human activities are leading to an enhancement of the greenhouse effect. Are greenhouse gases increasing? Human activity has been increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (mostly carbon dioxide from combustion of coal, oil, and gas; plus a few other trace gases). There is no scientific debate on this point. Pre-industrial levels of carbon dioxide (prior to...
