The task on hand is to build a 47,000 seat stadium. The project comes with some critical dates, specially the beginning of the baseball season. This timeline was developed to have the stadium fully operational by the 2014 baseball season opener, which is May 20th. This project is one of a kind and very large in nature. I can set forth company future trend as it tries to make name in category “A” contracts. is a large contract and will be a benchmark for the firm.

There were several problems that accompanied this project and few challenges that must be overcome. The biggest of these challenges was to complete the stadium in the allocated time so that the stadium is fully operational by the 2014 baseball season, which begins on May 20th. Although this deadline sets a small window in which to complete this project our firm feels confident that the project will be a major success. If the stadium is not completed by that timeframe there is a $100,000 per day penalty to the company until the stadium is completed and open for business. There are also multiple observable holidays during this time period that will have to be negotiated to conserve time and preserve schedule. Many of the construction elements are dependent upon one another for timely completion.

To begin the project a comprehensive list of tasks was prepared that must be completed to finish the stadium project. The time durations listed next to each task are the number of days estimated to complete said tasks. The durations are estimates and there are built in cushions for delays including in case of failure of inspection, weather related delays, shipping delays, delay in installment of the retractable roof and manpower delays. Many of these tasks will be completed simultaneously so the timeframes will run concurrently. These tasks will be broken down into three phases of work packages that will be codependent upon one another and crucial to the success of the project.

Since the project started on time, demolition and clearing the site was done promptly and the crew handled the clearing of the site matters, the rest of the stakeholders were made aware of their part dates and times. Each sub contractor was assigned their dates and times along with location for delivery of materials. The non-perishable items that needed to be shipped were asked to be delivered ahead of time and stored at the locations to avoid unnecessary delays. The communication with all involved parties was critical and were being notified of completion of each step and it was their turn to deliver goods or services.

The project was completed in March 2014, this is well ahead of the beginning of the baseball season. Completing the project early got great attention from the clients and more importantly the company is closer to netting 2 Millions without any delay penalties.

John C. Calhoun, vice president under Andrew Jackson, insisted he had to plow his fields before he could write, and Joseph Conrad, author of Lord Jim and other novels, is said to have cried on occasion from the sheer dread of sitting down to compose his stories. To spare you as much hand-wringing as possible, this chapter presents some practical suggestions on how to begin writing your short essay. Although all writers must find the methods that work best for them, you may find some of the following ideas helpful.
