Ms. Folse:
After two weeks in this class, I expect to take something valuable away from it. I believe this class will teach me to be more patient with others, listen to what they say, and understand them. This class seems to be centered more on developing students as a better person, which of course is something completely unexpected to me. I am actually looking forward to spending more time in this environment, I enjoy watching people and the way they respond to certain scenarios.
I feel that I will bring a positive vibe to this classroom, as I do have excellent communication skills. I have always been a ‘people’ person, in a sense that people tend to trust me immediately and enjoy my comedic stance on things. It will be nice to be in an environment of younger people, I will be able to see and learn the differences between age groups.
One of two concerns that I do have about this class is my short attention span. It will be difficult for me to stand stationary and maintain focus on the speaker for more than a few minutes at a time. The second concern being this class’ bearing on any future career I may choose. It feel it would be beneficial to certain students if there was an option to test out of individual classes. This is probably a bad attitude to have about anything in general, but it is certainly how I feel about a class with ‘vocabulary’ as a primary objective of a certain week.
With regards,
