To start off the moment before the revolution were very cold enslave people in Haiti had work day to night cutting sugar since for the sugar trade with little care for their life from the planters. When someone want to run away or make the plantation owner mad in any way they would get whipped, legs or arms cut off, and if serious even hang. Making all of this worst the plantations owner wanted to make other Haitian people do it basically forcing them showing their so-called power. Even for those of them who were free, in the presence of a white person they show respect for them saying Mr. or Mrs. most of the time inside not wanting to so. This lead to people going to the government trying to ask for more rights and freedom which just made …show more content…
This event had all right to take place for all the horrible conditions that took place beforehand and onward. The two main key figures though in the Haitian revolution were Sonthonax who was famous for protecting and saying how slavery is abolished, he was very important to Haitians for his civil right involvement but the moment he became useless Toussaint Louverture sent him away but I had find him to be a helpful person. The other was Toussaint L'ouverture who was a born slave who was granted freedom or a certain amount of rights before the revolution but when it started he help to protect his old master since he could handle violence but if could be done peacefully he would. He was smart and used his reason to make good battle strategies and get them as for as he did when he became the leader after 2 years in the Revolution. So, I find that he carried a good overall impact to the revolution being a great leader the only thing done bad was his constitution which was good for saying no discrimination but basically create a dictatorship where he is governor and he picked a

Paper 01 in each unit consisted of nine short-answer questions, three on each Module. These replicators reside in and are carried around by biological vehicles (trees, animals, humans, fungus, etc.). The resources that support these biological vehicles are finite, so the process of life has become a competition among genes to create vehicles that can successfully compete for limited resources and survive to pass on their genetic code. Dawkins coined the term ‘selfish gene’ to emphasize the single, focused object of a gene’s existence. What he means is that the sole purpose of a gene is to make copies of itself using the Darwinian selection process; very selfishly ignoring the consequences this pursuit may have on other living entities. Self-interest is a requirement for survival. This does not mean, of course, that animals and humans cannot be altruistic sometimes, in certain activities.2 It does mean that no living entity can survive for long if it is only purely altruistic. On the other hand, survival is not necessarily jeopardized when an organism is purely self-interested. Altruism, in the absence of self-interest, is not evolutionarily stable in the biological world; it leads to extinction. It is for this reason that all extant life forms must be selfish.
