Happy Hour Versus Hospital

Thinking about past jobs, you can see common tasks between them. When I think back to the time I worked at Happy Hour verse my job now at the hospital on the medical (fifth) floor. I recognize similar characteristics. Although Happy Hour and the hospital operate in distinctly different ways, their functions overlap when it comes to daily responsibilities. The staff members at Happy Hour vary compared to Memorial Health Care Center. The former usually consists of eight employees, whereas, the latter consists of a whole building full of people working together to get the job done. Even though the number of individuals is greater, they still perform the same basic tasks. At the restaurant, the workforce consists of the following: two cooks, a pizza person, a buffet runner, a dishwasher, a bartender, and two waitresses. Known by different job titles, Memorial employs similar workers. In a sense, room service personnel act as waiters because they take meal orders and deliver the cookery to various rooms. For example, Happy Hour’s fare rests on the plate coated in grease and bursting with flavor. On the other hand, hospitals serve blander meals because ill patients cannot handle all the spices and added ingredients. They also have to provide food that coincides with the diets doctors order. Cardiac, consistent carbohydrates, and clear liquids comprise a few typical diets. Laws set forth by the government play a role in the cuisine they can concoct. Obligated to provide healthy, nutritional meals, the hospital uses whole grain ingredients. Privately owned businesses, like Happy Hour, can decide what their menu embodies. They can choose whether they want an organic menu or serve meats. Happy Hour serves a variety of foods, from salads to steaks and seafood to soups, they have it all.
